In the time that I have been in the shelter,
the atmosphere is changing!
Our thoughts really do create our reality..
I've got people smiling, and laughing, I am
volunteering to make things clean and tidy..
I received an email from the shelter and
someone shall be contacting me to talk about
some issues...
Positive thoughts go a long way,
a SMILE goes for MILES!
we all deserve respect, and to not be
judged, we are all equal!

Be good
Do good...

Indeed! Yesterday afternoon I
Was approached by the staff.
They wanted to let me know how
much they appreciate everything
that I'm doing. They've noticed
that the atmosphere here has
become much more positive and
friendly...

This is a very difficult way to
live!
My thoughts continue to create
a better reality!

Laconia bike week ended today,
those left there with nowhere
to go, were transported to this
shelter...the trouble makers
from Concord were transported
here, the shelter in Nashua was
shut down, they were transported
here, it's crazy!

I had a really crazy day, keeping people from fighting!

And the topper, there's a gang
that if you stab or shoot a
homeless person you get promoted
in their ranks..1 stabbing has
already happened...

Has the world gone nuts!?

The President of the shelter is suppose
to be visiting today!

It's a wet shelter, which means...
you can be drunk, and you can be totally
wasted, and that's okay! They drink
right at the shelter. People are shooting
up in the bathroom. At this point I am
so disgusted with this unsafe situation.
There are fights daily!

Positive thoughts are keeping me going!
Crying cleansed my Soul. ...

As someone who has volunteered to work with the homeless, and even at a homeless shelter, I can (but shouldn't) share outrageous stories of staff and clients alike (and heard of other dysfunctional shelters as well), but yours takes the cake.

Speaking of which, the shelter you're at can be shut down should the powers that be choose to do so. Knowingly allowing (and, unfortunately, even if you don't know) illegal drugs and drug use on the property can cause all the property to be seized. (Doesn't mean they will, many law enforcement agencies have interests that are more mercenary rather than in the sake of justice or hindering drug abuse, so probably wouldn't want the headache of even selling off such property that no one else probably wants either).

I expect there are other regulations they're also violating in such a case (though if they actually have a sharps container then good on them, I really dislike how the local needle users around here get free needles but don't return them as they should, and see some outrageous places that they leave their used needles behind). Knowing how bad the drunks and such could be, I shudder to think what a shelter like the one you're staying at is like.

Are you sure there isn't another shelter you can go to? (Though the best shelters have waiting lists, but they'll usually try to help you get some kind of job, welfare, and/or housing. They usually have much better accommodations as well.) If not, it's probably best to move to another area if you can. Some states can get you a bus ticket elsewhere at no expense to you as long as you either have a job or family on the other end (and no outstanding warrants or court dates, of course).

The board is looking into
matters I've brought to
their attention..I'm staying
positive!

The other shelters are all
full..I should be out of
the shelter by the first
of the month!

It must be a great relief for you, leaving the shelter soon. I hope the board makes changes in the regulation of the place. I'm glad you found where to be!

I'm still at the shelter...

Apparently, this is the worse
week to be looking for a place
to rent...

A smile and positive comment
goes a long way in this place..
Some of these people have not
often had kindness shone to them
..

My thoughts are about
finding a home! !

I have not found a home
yet..so, I'm taking a night
off at a hotel..I've seen too
much death at the shelter..
People de-sensitized to death
in front of their eyes..
Just keep eating, while someone
is dying near to you...
We all need a miracle!

I've decided to spend
another night at the hotel...

On the brighter side..
I've achieved quite a lot
at the shelter...
They've taken my suggestions
and have even drawn up the
the plans for a new dry shelter..there shall be an
adjoining court yard to the
existing shelter..this shall
take 2 years...
Everything happens for a reason,
knowing with God Source
helps me very much...
a most magical force
of Miracles...

I am in awe of all the
positive things that are
happening at the shelter!
Things are improving daily...
All my emails really made
a difference.

Thanks, Ayelet

My apologies for not being around!

It's taking a11 of my energy keeping
thoughts positive! This homeless issue
needs to be addressed by our President.
Housing is not affordable, a studio
apartment for $950.00! I can't afford
that! Something has to be done about
affordable housing..In NH our minimum
wage is $7.25 an hour, does that make
any sense? No wonder the homeless shelter
is overloaded!!!

I was thinking about the unemployment
rate is at it's lowest...where does
this figure come from? It comes from
the unemployment office, on how many
people are collecting, or not!
That leaves a lot out of the figure...
People who have not worked in many years,
others who are now collecting social
security, and so on...

It's not accurate to say the unemployment
rate is at its lowest, just my thoughts...

..thus far 2019 has been one really
difficult year, with so many crazy things
happening, and so much death.

we are so out of balance, and in need
of so many Miracles!

Our thoughts are creating our reality,
what are you thinking?
