hi...i did mention in a post in pilgrim's progress that i didn't really disappear....just went introvert and away for a while. i determined that it's better for me not to post information here that's too personal.for a few months a very small kitten occupied a good amount of my time. she's a few months old and lives outside and on the porch with her mother and sisters. one day she was laying there unable to move with a broken leg. so she had to have surgery and constant care. since she's a kitten she had a temporary pin placed in her leg which then went through her muscle and skin long before its removal date. ouch! it hurt me so much just to look at her. but i had to clean it numerous times during the day, administer antibiotics and pain meds, and keep her kennel clean. yikes....little kitty can make such a mess! this also was very financially difficult. but she's all better now, and i love her with all my heart. so, my time is not so constrained now. funny how such a little thing can break your heart so. Oh talaith - this is the first time I read this thread. I wish a great deal of love to you. I have the utmost respect for people who love & care for animals. I have to say, the first post summed up feelings of rage, heartbreak, helplessness & tears. I cannot bear cruelty to animals I know you said before you handled the puppy situation in the way you saw fit, may I ask how things are? I admire how you're taking care of the kitty I had a heartbreaking experience with finding a rabbit on the side of the road attempting to climb a kerb with a broken hind leg, the bone prodruding. It was late & on my way out, but took it home carefully in a towel & called the RSPCA, who took sooooo long to get to us - and in that time it had died. I was inconsolable, obviously cancelled my night out and everything. Yes you're heart breaks. What drives me insane sometimes, is the thought of the animals in the world, this minute being mistreated & being physically helpless to be there to help them all. The emotion gets too much for me sometimes. I can't imagine what I'll be like as a mother ------------------ "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."
