Being a Southern girl, I really missed the music of the cicadas when I first moved to Canada. Now they are here. Talk about signs of global warming! The cicadas arrived about 10 years ago. No one around here had the least idea of what they were. Now I hear their songs every summer. They are quite a bit smaller than the Southern cicadas, but they are definitely the same species.
