Thanks for asking, Amy. I've been meaning to post an update. He's doing well. I cooked up some chicken and rice...and none of the cats cared much for it. When Boris finally realized that's what he was getting instead of canned food, he ate it. But it made things worse for him. He's really been doing pretty well, but if I change things in his diet, his body reacts. So I'm just gonna keep doing what I'm doing. And unless I notice any changes in him, I'll not give him the Prednisone. I would really rather not give him the drugs, if he's doing well and is happy without them. So for now, everything is status quo. Thank you all so much for your help. IP: Logged |

Cautiously optimistic update....I was thinking about the chicken and rice making things worse for Boris. I buy two flavors of the same brand cat food. One is Salmon & Tuna. The other is Chicken & Rice. For two days now, I have not given the cats any of the chicken and rice. And Boris has been better. Maybe there's a food allergy there that exacerbates the problem. So I'm gonna watch this, see what happens. Thank you all for all the well wishes. IP: Logged |

Hi Trillian,There was once a cat I picked up off the street that had a tag saying, "Fowl allergies." So it's a possibility for Mr. Boris! Salmon and Tuna sounds Love, Amy IP: Logged |
