I was going through all the files in my desk, and came across some old articles I had cut out of newspapers and saved. This story was published in an article from my county newspaper.Written by John Reed, Pet Planet, from the Marin Independent Journal, published Friday, March 26, 1999. Psychic Pets Recognize those eyes? Do pets ever come back to us, reincarnated as old friends in new bodies? Art Myers thinks so. He's the former assistant city desk editor of the Washington Post and the recipient of 3 Associated Press awards. He recounts this story from Sue Goodrich, an animal communicator from San Diego in his book, "Communicating with Animals". "A man contacted me who was very depressed. He said all he had in his life was his dog, who had died a year before. He had lost his religious beliefs, and his marriage was falling apart. I was able to contact the dog in spirit, and it said it wanted to come back. I told the man, but this idea was foreign to him. I told him the dog had said she wanted to come back as she was before, a cocker mix. I told him to look in the newspaper for puppies of that sort. I told him that the dog's spirit said she would present herself to him. A friend of the man took this seriously and went looking for litters like this. He would lay the guy's shirt down to see if any of the puppies would come over. And sure enough, in one litter a male puppy came and sat right on the shirt. He took the puppy back to the man's house. As soon as he brought him in, the dog ran to the bedroom, went under the bed and got his dish. And all the other animals in the house were going like "Oh, hi, you're back." The man called a priest he had known when he was close to his religion, and the priest said, "Absolutely, your dog is back." The man got back into his religion, and renewed his friendship with this priest. He made up with his wife, and he says he has never been so happy. He says he thanks the dog every day for giving him that lesson." IP: Logged |

------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |
