I was told by a coworker (who's opinion I don't really trust) that swiffer wetjet fluid can kill small animals. I'm pretty certain this is a stupid rumor, but I just wanted to see what people have heard. I love my swiffer a lot. But I love the cats more... IP: Logged |

well im sure any kind of liquid cleaner can kill a small animal if they drink it. i bet there isnt a very high chance that your cats would do that. animals are smarter than people give them credit for. IP: Logged |

It's a rumor... http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/swiffer.asp Swiffer pet rumor Question Are the ingredients safe? Answer We're glad you came to us for the facts about the rumor circulating. Swiffer Wet cloths and WetJet liquid solution do not contain antifreeze or any ingredient similar to it. In fact, Swiffer products have been safely used in over 15 million U.S. homes--many with pets--for nearly five years. Independent veterinarians and scientists evaluated the Swiffer Wet Cloths and WetJet cleaners and found them safe. The ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) has even posted information about this rumor on their site. Here's a link to their home page: http://www.aspca.org We have pets too, and their health and well-being is very important to us. Please help us put animal lovers' minds at ease and stop this rumor by sharing the truth with others. http://homemadesimple.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/homemadesimple.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_sid=TA8Kcwah&p_lva=&p_faqid=4447&p_created=1083607474&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd 19jbnQ9MTAxJnBfcHJvZF9sdmwxPTE4JnBfcGFnZT0x&p_li=
