For some odd reason my cat(puddy gato) likes to sleep in the dirty laundry, and she is making a constant habit of it. Does anyone know why she would do this, since I thought most cats are suppose to be really clean?------------------ Sun in Libra Moon in Cancer Jupiter in Cancer Venus in Virgo Mars in Cancer Ascendant in Cancer I "FEEL" therefor I am IP: Logged |

Dunno, but both my dog and new kitten are fascinated with the laundry basket. Jasmine loves to try and fit and squeeze into the laundry basket. They both love to jump in and out of it and play. Click here and scroll down to the 3rd picture from the bottom: Click HereIP: Logged |

Cats are clean by animal terms. But what animals, aside from humans, wears clothes and launders them? A pile of clothes isvery soft and warm, things cats like because it makes them feel secure. Dirty clothes may be extra comforting because they had familiar smells to them. Whenever I have to leave my cats for longer than a day, I leave something I've worn receently out on the bed for them for comfort. I also do this whenever they are sick, stressed or we have moved. But cats are pretty clean, even if sleeping on dirty laundry isn't *our* idea of clean. Their saliva is naturally antiseptic, their fur and skin is designed to repel dirt and sloff off dander readily, and you're familiar with their litter box habits. Like dogs, they have less harnful mircobes on their bodies at any given time than humans, and unlike rats and cockroaches, they rarely carry any pathogens that can infect humans. Aside from problems with allergies, fleas and the dander/shedded fur issues, cats are one of the cleanest animals you could have in your home. IP: Logged |
