It seems team of scientists has managed to breed 'translucent frogs' making it possible to see their internal organs. So for any who are interested, here's the video:'See-Through' Frogs *This brings a whole new element to biology class. Very mixed feelings here! I dont like the idea of altering any living thing this way. I do however believe this will eventually make it's way to the classrooms, omitting the perceived need to dissect the little guys.

WOW, can't believe I missed this old post. I am a biology major, and this is interesting. I bet those frogs could never live in the natural world, since their skin would probably be too sensitive to the sun, and they don't have any camouflage for protection. (their normal dark green skin color is great camouflage for protection). IP: Logged |
