Just switched to a 20 gallon. It's very big.

Should be getting another small female to pal up with the other male.

Everyone is very feisty, territorial, and aggressive.

Just got 2 new young'uns. Everyone is now getting along except for 1 male who has claimed his own territory and wants no one else near him or his territory.

They sure are interesting fish!

NOW you are not going to believe this. OMG.

A "couple" has nestled into one of the clay pots and layed numerous eggs all along the side wall. So in 3 days, I am going to have many, many more babies.

This is crazy!!!

One of the males lost all his orange (the father).

This couple is very cute though. They always kiss and clean each other, and rub their fins together. They also are not aggressive with the other 2 male and female. (yet) They have a much better disposition than the single female mother.

So now there will be 3 parents in this tank, 2 singles, and numerous fry.

TNTC. = too numerous to count.

MAJOR

Hi ~ I did get your e-mail today....... I am so sorry.....

I hope you are feeling better.

The new eggs haven't hatched yet, or if they have, we can't see them b/c the parents moved them inside a shell.

Ang,

The second batch of babies hatched. I have about 70 babies and now another couple has nested and layed eggs I am sure. (they have the same behaviour as the other parents). This is discusting. Once they are large enough to move, I am going to give most of the babies back to my neighbor and he can deal with it. I already called 1 pet store and they don't want them. They said they don't have the room/extra tanks.

After everything is sorted out I will keep only males.

Ohh my gosh ... talk about overwhelming. It's one thing to have to get rid of a few, but SEVENTY!! And MORE on the way!! I feel for ya ... you could also try posting an add on craigslist.

Good choice on keeping two males!

Turns out the first "mother" who had babies..........is a male.

Also, he/she had about 27 babies, and now there are 7. No idea if someone else ate them or what.

So far the other batch of babies by the other couple are very energetic.

Haveing trouble maintaining the heat. The heater works great for several days, then gets either too hot or too cold. Not sure if I should buy a new one.
