Two big sharks were fished out of the Potomac River this week. Is the U.S. capital swimming with predators? http://blogs.nationalgeographic.com/blogs/news/chiefeditor/2010/09/eight-foot-shark-in-potomac-river.html IP: Logged |

Ahhh but who is the real predator? Man is the most dangerous of all IMO.I saw this quote on that link... quote: "This summer we also had a humpback whale visit us in the bay, so really you never know what you will find here."
Ahhh man, where was I? I would have loved to have seen that. Whales are my all time favorite animal. I swear I must have been one in a previous life. I remember back when I was a teen...maybe 1985 or somewhere around there, San Francisco had a humpback whale visit the bay. They called him Humphrey. My mom still has the sweatshirt she bought to mark the occasion lol (from a long line of nerds lol).

Here's the link on Humphrey.. http://www.rio-vista-ca.com/community/humphrey-the-humpback-whale Kind of funny, it was Rio-Vista. That's where my mom spent a lot of time growing up and took us kids there when we were little to Pacifica... good times, good times... IP: Logged |
