I love rats. They are incredibly smart and they recognize you when they see you. I wouldn't own one because of the three cats and Mr. Destructor Labrador- but they are cute

Out here in Bisbee, AZ there is a man we call "Dog, cat, mouse" man. He walks around Bisbee with a mouse sitting on top of the cat and the cat sits on top of the dog. He stresses that everyone can get along regardless of their differences

I had house bunnies, guinea pigs, and rats,
with my indoor cats.
No one tried to eat each other.
LOL.....
however the bunnies and cats humped each other!
And a mother skunk for years who regularly got it on with the outside cats!
