Sadly, we lost our little buddy Fletcher, AKA Mr. Woobie, on Monday (most awesome cat in the universe). He would have been 20 years old in August and I got him when I was an ER Vet tech in Portland, OR. We didn't like each other much at first and I tried to return him back to Dove Lewis because he would stalk me, jump on my feet and bite them like they were his own personal chew toys. But.... no one could handle him and so we made an agreement that I would take him back and he could go with me to So Cal as long as he didn't try to eat my feet LOL.. He really hated men (he had a sad early life, was thrown out of a car and then hit by a car when he was about 3 years old. It was obvious that a man had abused him as he would not let any men near him. Then he met Bear and he made Bear is bestest friend in the world-seriously, he even didn't mind Bear's boots when I always had to make sure I didn't put mine on around him. He lived with me in OR, CA, MD, AZ, ID.. then Germany (Schweinfurt and Graf) until we moved back to Arizona. That little guy lived in more places than most people ever get to experience in a lifetime.

He was getting pretty weak over the last few days. We thought we were going to lose him when his little friend Phoebe passed away last year (She was 15 yrs) but he held on. He was finally on wet food with baby food but gave that up a day or so ago. We checked on him and he was doing okay but had been hanging out under the bed more than usual. When we came home from work Monday evening we found that he had passed. Our hearts are broken. Mr. Woobie had been with me forever and developed a very strong bond with Bear. We will miss him tremendously. We buried him in a place that he would love, where the sun shines and added a honeysuckle plant. I know to some he was just a cat, but having a pet for more than 16 years means a lot to me. He was better than awesome.

Bears, there is no such thing as just a cat

I`m sorry for your and Bears loss.
