Not sure if this has been covered, but which is better: the original anxiety wrap, or the well-reviewed copy on Amazon?https://anxietywrap.com/About/howitworks.aspx http://www.amazon.com/Thundershirt-Anxiety-Treatment-Large-Heather/dp/B0028QK6EY/ref=sr_1_2?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1340386692&sr=1-2&keywords=anxiety+wrap We have a mixed breed that nervously resorts to biting and licking himself to death. My wife has spent well over a thousand dollars at the vet trying to deal with this. The dog is on an anti-Wheat diet (one of the more simple ingredient diets; Wellness currently), and anti-yeast drugs. I'm pretty sure that one of these anxiety wraps is going to be a marked improvement, because the behavior seems like a nervous, habitual reaction. IP: Logged |

Apparently they work! I sort of thought it had to be a gimmick at first. I saw a commercial for them and thought about getting one for my dog who has seperation anxiety and can be a bit high strung.Hope your dog can find some comfort from one. btw, my dog was on Wellness for awhile too. I think it's a good brand. Then she decided she didnt like it anymore like she did with California Natural which she was on for awhile. I have gone through so many different kinds of food with her. Great how there are so many holistic ones on the market to choose from these days. She's still a very finicky eater, but I have her on a mix of Organix and another one (forget the name) now. Best of luck AG & please let us know if it works. IP: Logged |

AG, if it`s a nervous, habitual reaction then you need to find a calmative like Rescue Remedy. It works very well. Seriously, I would try to find a dog whisperer as well. There`s a reason the dog does this and it will not go away on it`s own. One is a heck of a lot cheaper than vet care. My concern is the dog getting out to run and exercised every day?? It is mandatory for all dogs but a nervous dog especially. Usually, if you wear them out daily, the reactions disappear over time. ------------------ As Angels above guide Human beings, Human Beings have the opportunity to be Angels on Earth, who guide the Animal kingdom. - Da Vinci IP: Logged |

The vet's been very expensive for him over the last year. He's probably had at least an appointment every two months I'd say.He does react well to exercise, but I guess the expectation that he'll be walked or run every day isn't realistic in our house. I'm hopeful that this works. He does enjoy being embraced, so hopefully this calms his nerves. IP: Logged |

Can you and Jen please think about hiring a kid or professional dog walker to exercise him? What are the breeds mixed? Is he a working breed? ------------------ As Angels above guide Human beings, Human Beings have the opportunity to be Angels on Earth, who guide the Animal kingdom. - Da Vinci IP: Logged |

Border Collie is one of the ones in the mix. I can't remember the others. I'm going to guess that he is a working dog.IP: Logged |
