If I like it, it's MINE. If it's in my mouth, it's MINE. If I had it a little while ago, it's MINE. If I can take it from you, it's MINE. If it's MINE, it must NEVER be YOURS. If it just looks like mine, it's MINE. If I saw it first, it's MINE. If it's edible, it's MINE. If you have something and put it down, it's MINE. If I chew something up, all the pieces are MINE. If I get tired of it, it's YOURS. If I want it back, it's MINE. http://thereasoningblog.blogspot.com/2013/02/chihuahua-property-laws.html IP: Logged |

When I decide it's time for you to wake up, I will walk all over your back, then sit in-between your shoulder blades and stick my tiny wet nose in your ear and breathe really fast.If that doesnt work, I will sit in front of your face, really close and stare....and stare....until you feel it and open your eyes. Then my big ears will perk up and my head c0cks to the side and I get excited and bounce around. If you close your eyes again, I will lick you in the nostril to make you jerk up and hopefully get up. Because I said so. When it's time for you to get up, I will let you know. lol IP: Logged |

My baby girl almost got kiilled or injured, had it not been for my extremely fast reflexes. We took a detour on our walking route and rounded a corner and right at that moment a huge mixed breed lunged for her. He was being held by a shady looking guy who had him on a chain instead of a leash. The guy (who looked high on drugs) holding him didnt see us either and grabbed his chain after I'd already yanked her up by her leash/harness and grabbed her into my arms. I could feel the dog right behind me and didnt know if the guy had the dog (which is why I didnt run - always a bad idea to run from a dog) and was preparing to have it rip my arm off or try to jump up and get her. I didnt look back, just quickly kept walking thinking I was going to have to fight it or punch it or something. He looked dazed and apologized and I think he thought it was funny. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I kept walking, glaring at him but was so rattled and furious at what just almost happened that I was speechless and kept going. That dog must have seen us coming because it came right out and right for my tiny girl. I don't even think she knew what happened. One minute she was walking and the next minute yanked up and was in my arm. I don't even want to think about what would have happened had I not has such quick reflexes. It took me awhile to stop shaking...tremoring really, about it. IP: Logged |

That is terrible Dee. I didnt know that. Really sorry to hear about that. My body and mind can't handle stress or trauma anymore after a few things that have happened to me. There's no way I could've witnessed my dog go like that, or get severely injured. Thankfully, it didnt happen, but that doesnt guarentee anything in the future. All I can do is be prepared. I guess I should take my taser with me every time, even during the day from now on. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I need to get some more mace.Seems a more humane thing to do if attacked. I'd not want to ever hurt another dog, but if it came at us aggressively like that one did, I'd do what I had to do, even if that meant i got ripped apart. If it means fighting it, then I would. It might be best to give it a good hard punch in the nose first. I'd try to maybe toss mine over a nearby fence, into someone else's yard if possible, or get her out of harms way and take care of the other dog myself. That day, my energy was off and I do believe that played a part in me encountering that situation. Thankfully though, that may have helped my reflexes be so quick at the same time. If it ever happens again, I'd get her out of the way, face the dog's aggression head on and try to use my energy to make it back off first (w/o staring it in the eyes and being confrontational) and prepare to fight it if need be. Hopefully, something like that never has to happen. Because it would get ugly. IP: Logged |

She is over-protective of me, but would never stand a chance in any dog fight. She's too small.IP: Logged |
