RESCUE

What does rescue involve?

Is it enough to rescue a pet from euthanasia only to put them back in a crate on a concrete floor whether they wait for days, weeks, months, and maybe even years for adoption?

In my opinion, that is not a proper rescue.

But what to do? Not everyone is in a position to rescue meaning provide a proper foster environment for the pet. I get that. We have 5 animals ourselves – 4 cats and a dog.

What do you think ppl can do?

As my business grows with Empower Network, one of my dreams is to have a hobby farm where we foster dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters, gerbils, mice – MAYBE even birds – so they can have a loving home-like environment in which to live while they await adoption.

I hate going to the humane society sometimes bc I don’t like to look at the faces of the animals awaiting adoption there. Can’t you just imagine what they might be thinking sometimes?

“will YOU be the one to set me free from this cramped little bedroom?”

“pick me! pick me! I’m cute – aren’t I?”

Sometimes I just wish there could be a moratorium put on animals where dog and cat breeders, for example, can’t breed any more animals until ALL of the shelter/rescue animals have found homes. But that wouldn’t work bc that is their livelihood too. So I don’t know what the answer is. Do you? Leave me your comment. Let’s talk about this. What would you suggest?
