For approximately half of her life, Nikki has been without a family or a home. The beautiful dog, who is estimated to be between two and three years of age, does not have one special person to devote her attention to, or a favorite, cozy bed to curl up upon.Instead, she calls the Burlington County Animal Shelter in Westampton, New Jersey, "home."
The non-profit organization, Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter, is hoping that Nikki can find her special someone and finally leave the facility and start the life that she was always meant to lead. The volunteer-led group wrote:
Nikki has been in a cage since 7/2013. She is good with other dogs and does well in our play groups with dogs that like to play, she is considered a HELPER dog because she gets along so well with so many other dogs. She is great with all age kids but not cats.
Nikki gets so excited when visitors approach her cage that most people tend to simply pass her over...her happiness and excitment is met with rejection.

She is a happy and loving girl who begs for a chance to be noticed and have a home.
Have seen her in the play yard with a family with a 5mth old that she just laid there and let her pet her, then she got up and played ball with the 9 yr old and then had a run with the dad.
She is a small girl and doesn't take up much room. She knows 'sit,' gives paw, and loves to play fetch. She really wants to please you.
Please take a moment to network on Nikki's behalf; she desperately wants to love and be loved.
