At Green Dog Rescue Project, we aim to rebuild hope where it’s been damaged or lost. We work with those who see a need for change to an antiquated industry. The traditional sheltering model of housing animals in cages or glass closets is not "change" and does not truly benefit the needs of homeless animals. We have a responsibility to understand their basic and natural need to be part of a social pack and GDRP provides the environment and methods to learn how to make real change in the industry. Traditional shelters are staffed with incredibly caring and dedicated employees and volunteers that are forced to contend with making small differences in an overwhelmed and depressing industry. GDRP can offer education and training that has proven to increase adoptions, staff morale, and healthier animals while decreasing the number of animals being euthenized. Our focus lies on industry wide & community education, including the next generation of junior volunteers, pack model sheltering, adoptions, community awareness, and educational opportunities. We firmly believe that the path to change begins with a single step, and that every journey is best taken with friends. We invite you to join us on our journey.
