When you go on a walk with your pooch, the last thing you'd probably expect to see is a living thing buried beneath a mound of dirt. Sadly, that's exactly what Pedro Dinis stumbled upon while walking his dog outside of Paris, France. As you can see in the photos, Dinis discovered a struggling dog trapped in dirt, unable to move. Even her head appears to be covered in debris, and her sad eyes caked in dust. Without hesitation, Dinis did all he could to save the canine's life.
What about the canine's cruel owner? Well, thanks to the dog's tattoo, police were able to track him down and arrest him. According to Le Parisien, he denied the charges made against him, saying his dog merely "escaped." Since the dog is 10 years old and has arthritis, the judge ruled the owner's theory wasn't credible. "He'll be tried for animal cruelty in March 2016," reported the publication.
