Son of the Sun
Love of the Ewe
Born in the land
Of many a Hebrew

A man of trade
He paved the way
Only to cry
As his truths fade-away

A lion on earth
Sent by the wise
To deliver us all
From the pain and cries

Of miseries that come
Through the sins of man
Corrupted only by
The followers of Pan

He ran and traveled
Far and wide
To learn the mysteries
Of the moon and tide

Believed to have gone
Past the holy ganges
To seek the hidden wisdom
In the mountain ranges

Learning the craft
Of magic and the stars
He came back home
With numerous powers

Gathering a band of men
I believe to be twelve
To search and look into
Spiritual delves

Following his heart
With his soul so pure
He men an ewe
And he loved her sure

The twelve of them
Raged in horor
How could a sheep
Or a dame be in power?

Plotting and plodding
They whispered aloud
To seek ways of ridding
This ewe so proud.

Despite they knew the fact
That the lion loved more
For she was his mate
His heart's core

Armed with love
With peace and wisdom
He set his goal
To revive the kingdom

Curing the ail's
The pain and sorrow
Promising hop
And a better tomorrow

Like fish they swayed
Through the shimmering seas
Of waters he walked on
A feat for all to see

A the twelve however there was
A Gray Lizard of doubt
As he saw the lion prowl
He would sit alone and pout

(End of part one)

Divine Goddess,

Did you write that? It was great! Of course, it's about Jesus! Is that what you wanted us to know, or is there something deeper that you wanted us to deciper?

Grey Lizard? A negative Scorpio aspect ascribed to Judas.

<<Like fish they swayed
Through the shimmering seas>>
Pisces Sign of two fish. Jesus and Mary Magdalene were Pisces.

<<To learn the mysteries
Of the moon and tide>>
Jesus mastering astrology in Himalayas.

Hello All

Well Iqhunk; You solved the Judas aspect, as well as Jesus' pilgramage to India and the Himalayas... however you slightly got fogged on the part where you ascribe Jesus and Magdalene their signs...Those two lines talk about something else.

fayte.m ... you guessed the magdalene murder plot, and the trade and Pan..however Tomas isnt whom i had in mind.

*~*~*~*~*

You all have done well
So far in the quest
But there is much more to solve
Before i reveal the rest

Interesting fayte.m .. very interesting

You have investigated well, but perhaps on revealing the second part would help better... there shall be more parts. You have gone a bit ahead of me, but maybe that was needed to fulfill this task. However, one clue... Look in Love Signs

*~*~*~*~*

On a dark night
Late one day
The grey lizard entered
Where the lion lay

Whispering in his ear
With his slithering forked-tongue
He begged to know
If the bells of fate had rung

"The slaves of the past
Were angered with a rage
How could a tradesman
Be the king of the age?"

The lion smiled
And turned to his ewe
Who was wide awake
And she already knew

He turned to face
His grey lizard friend
And told him how he'd be
An eagle in the end

Purring in the night
Ever so discreet
They hatched a plan
That would end bittersweet

An example was
To be set
For the skeptical children
Of the saturnial sect

The lizard feared
It sounded absurd
This was the most
Ridiculous thing he heard

The lion smiled
The Ewe grinned
The bush of moses
Was already in

The greatest illusion
Shall be set
When venus shines
At her hour of her day

The lizard wondered
If the lion was sane
The ewe assured him
For she felt the pain

"A life of a traitor
Was a hard one to lead
Even if the accused
Wasnt one indeed

Sometimes to woo
A dogmatic crowd
A lie is spoken
Isnt all truth in a cloud?"

The Lizard understood
The power of an Illusion
For a lion to lead fish
Would leave many in confusion

The lion embraced
His reptilian friend
And as he promised
He became an eagle in the end

Fueled with the strength
Of Pluto's Power
The new eagle was off
As commanded by his Sire

(End of Part Two)

Astrology is the forerunner of Astronomy.
They both involve careful observation of the patterns and movements of the stars, planets etcetera. Both can be mad or wise., depending on the viewpoint or skill of the person involved in either. Both are fact based. The cosmos is real.

But superstition and religion....often both mad I feel.
Both are hope and fear driven. Not fact based. Yes...the characters upon whom they base their tales may well have lived. But not as remembered or written. So both are mad. Religion is just superstition with better press and fancier dress.

The pious man with closed eyes can often hold more ego than a proud man with open eyes.
Out of the mouth of babes commeth wisdom that can rival that of sages.
In the rough, or cut and polished..a diamond is still a precious gem.

Like i said.. I like the way you think... but like the poem/riddle, you missed certain hidden meanings in my quote.

What is your sign? (sun moon and rising)
