I know there has been talks about God not been the only one god, on this site, but I would like to add my two cents.I believe that there is more than one God. As the bible states it clearly. ( I can feel shock waves erupting.) In the Good News Edition Bible, I don't have a KJV one, it says in Genesis 3: 5 where the snake is talking to Eve, there is a footnote at the end of the verse and when you read what the footnote explains it says: GOD: or the gods. What more proof do you need?

Yang! There were many who appeared to be gods to the people in the primitive cultures of the past. When an entity is advanced beyond the culture it has made contact with, such would appear to be gods. And yes, under that perspective there have been many many "gods". The true God has many aspects and faces, and even as it is said, "do ye not know that you are gods?" God is in us, and all about. God uses many forms to "reach" the myriad diversities of the human mindset. It is as if God employs the old adage of the wise masters,...."You cannot teach until you are willing to go to where the student is at(spiritually)." Or should I say, that the wise masters employ a wee bit of the wisdom of God to touch the mind and soul of the student? IP: Logged |

Sure Yang. Theres a hierarchy of powers beyond our earth. There is a God and his lords. From some religious perspective (lets say the hindus), there is a king of the netherworld and a king of heaven and a great king of the earth. In science fiction, there is a senate consisting of heads from different solar systems. And there is a president/VP who can veto the senate? The point is there sure are hierarchies and hence many Gods We earthlings would know the truth very soon, in my mind. IP: Logged |

Yang, When you consider the engery or vibe to the universe do you feel one or many presence. I personally only feel one. All others are either an expression of that one or distortion of it.IP: Logged |

Yes there may be many God, but the essence of all is ONE as Kat said. God is in everything and also beyond it. Picture a light thru prism. How it bends within the prism and then comes out at as seven colors of the rainbow.

Well, yeah, the Romans believed in many Gods associated with a door! Other cultures changed their ideas constantly regarding Gods. I personally think it's easy to see hings in terms of one creator God, but then it can be useful to consider heirarchies. Likewise, the notion we are all Gods is very useful because it enforces the notion we are all one, for if God is All, and God is powerful, then we are all powerful as God. Like a hologram, there is no loss of power or data. The holographic universe thread is awesome at explaining these concepts. ( http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/001399.html )But, yeah, I'm leaning towards the idea that EVERYONES spirituality is completely different from everyone elses. Even two christians will have completely different beliefs according to who they are. All is fluid. Dean. ------------------ Always think compassion... Sorry, was just testing how deep the reply window can go, and in which order it would reply. Interesting... Very cool too Randall, I might add as opposed to the old way of adding replies. Dean. IP: Logged |
