TINK, D for Defiant, ListensToTrees... I did not forget about all of you. Does anyone have any specific questions other than those already posted? I think I will start a new thread concerning my path and what I do..and As clear a synopsis of SPIRITISM and HUMANISM as possible. I changed hardrives after my 12 year old dinosaur computer crashed. I lost my address books, my e-mail, and my reply in progress too...and many other things like Lexigrams I was working on. Also tore some neck muscles and cracked a rib. At least flu bug has abated somewhat. So please bear with me. I will try to answer in brief right now a few things, for which I shall elaborate on later. I am as LTT said: quote: What religion are you?>None, thank God!
I got ordained in two religions which are more philosophies than religions...with the exception of Christian Spiritism, which I do not subscribe to. In order to legally counsel folks spiritually or even to offer a shoulder to cry on or a person to talk to, I got ordained. I have not registered yet so cannot perform marriages, but I did not get ordained for that, but to counsel folks. I used to go forth and help folks in person a lot. In recent years however I have had a few strokes and falls, so do most from home, even whilst laying in bed....by phone. When able I still go forth. I see sad folks in public and strike up conversations with strangers, and give hugs and smiles and readings freely. I do not remember the last time whilst out and about that some lonely soul has not approached me. People are so starved for love and attention and even a sincere smile or hello or touch or hug, or kind word...or a cup of coffee, a cookie, a piece of pie, or even a meal....and so forth...these small things coming unexpectedly from a stranger, as myself, can indeed make a difference! Sometimes even save lives. I am not going to elaborate on my experiences at this time. However the worse thing is to ignore folks and go through life with blinders on. (blinders are a form of shields on either side of a horse harness to keep him going down the road instead of being distracted by things on either side of him) I say.."remove those blinders!" Do not pretend to not notice folks around you in need! I am not talking material need only, but emotional/spiritual need! This also does NOT mean trying to convert them to any religion! One must respect that those in need are of any religion or no religion even. Organized religions try to convert and prey on folks whilst they are most needy and possibly gullible and vulnerable. That is evil in my opinion. I will try and find my posts concerning this and re-post them on a new thread. In my offline life people are strangely drawn to me. Even the fact that I am a bearded woman to their eyes (I do not always bother to shave) rarely scares them away. I have lived on the streets in my past and dumpster dived for food and slept in Goodwill collection boxes. I have had several brushes with death, and have had illness and other hardships in my life to date. I can easily relate to a wide range of folks and their lives. I do my best to spread kindness and compassion. I love these videos! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lD6o49Uqv10 The words to this are good except for the "as long as you come to me" bits...too ego/vain to my ears, and more about a couple than helping all people..but a good visual video anyhow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr3x_RRJdd4 ------------------ Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.

LEXX I forgot to ask- those two religions that are philosophies rather than religions, in which you got ordained- which two religions/ways of life/spiritual paths are they? I look forward to your message. D xxxxxxxxx IP: Logged |

LEXX,Thanks for providing the link. So I guess...the two religions by which you have been ordained as a minister are Humanism and Spiritism...? Am I right? I would appreciate your verification, LEXX. D IP: Logged |
