to see such hate and anger and misunderstanding of beliefs and a religion that i hold dear to heart. really i dont want to start one of the infamous arguments that i've come across recently on lindaland by saying that there are people who are talking about something they dont know... but it pains me that we still cant respect each other's religion.. i am an aquarian so i believe in live and let live..peace n love -Gooober ------------------ the rain goes pitter patter, pitter patter.. my brain is all in a scatter... you don't mind? then i guess it won't matter ;) IP: Logged |

we sure do...i was reading this weekly astrological forecast by this man called rob brenzsy and this is what he wrote:WE ARE IN FACT LIVING THROUGH THE APOCALYPSE RIGHT NOW. But it's nothing like the end of the world visualized by any of the usual suspects. It's different in four ways. 1. It's a slow, gradual apocalypse. 2. The apocalypse is usually invisible, erupting into our conscious awareness only on rare occasions. 3. The apocalypse is as much about rebirth as collapse. 4. The primary way most of us experience the apocalypse is through the intimate events of our personal lives. it just made me think..all this intolerance and apathy..boy are we in need of a fresh new perspective.. love n peace -Gooober p.s. thank you for understanding lotus, it felt very nice to hear your kind words

((Gooober, why? this is an old string, perhaps it should have been, left behind...))There have been a lot of misunderstandings created about Islam. That is why it hurts. IP: Logged |

Saw these words on a website:The truth is a brilliant, many-sided diamond. The great life fills this gem and colors from every side. Mystics, messengers, and sages and teachers of all ages, races and beliefs have spoken of a different face of this common Eternal Truth. As for astrology.... We are all of them.
As David Icke said, when he communicated with the amusing female entity under the influence of Ayahuasca, she asked "Do you think the Infinite sits down and has its horoscope done?". IP: Logged |

Islam prohibits the use of Astrology as an act that benifits the occult in some way but other then that, to understand it as a cultural phenomenon is not prohibited at all. As someone already mentioned in this thread, Astrology and Astronomy have been a vital part of Middle Eastern and Arabic culture and many famous Muslim Scientests were greatly interested in astrocharts.
