Ok now that I got your attention let me explain. He He He  ... Did any hear of Gabriel, an angel revolting in heaven? Any one seen the 1995 movie, "The Prophecy" Theres an interesting spin on Him. In the gnostics bible (Nag Hammadi Lib), Jesus fakes as Gabriel and appears to Mary as an angel during the anunciation. Why would she care any ways if He is real or fake. From what I understand, when Jesus grows up he dictates the story about why he had to do that, thru Philip his disciple. Therefore the story of Gabriels revolt starts 1500-2000 years ago. I would be interested in anything more that you may find. Any references to the Bible or any other scriptures is also welcome. I would also update this post as best as I could.
And what has this post got to do with us? Well in the movie even the human souls takes part in the battle. Does it mean we are angels? I love all three movies!
My take on them is not mainstream enough to talk about here.
But I saw alot of truth in them...not all...but there were elements....also the names were in my opinion not right...
Gabe should have been a different one..same as for others...

I haven't seen the other two. I was referring to the one starring Christopher Walken as Gabriel. During the movie I felt whom to fear more Gabriel or Lucifer (played by Viggo, Aragorn, Lord of the Rings. He is damn good.). In the end I didn't fear any. One of my top 10 lines is from this movie when Viggos says "Little Tommy Dagget. Oh how I loved hearing you say your little prayers as a boy, then you'd jump into bed always afraid i was under there. And I was." It was funny to notice that the depiction of Lucifer matched what the Bible says i.e. The first angel, created first and loved first among all others. He thinks of himself as god, and wants to over throw the throne. This is the first war in heaven.
At the end of which a third of angels are cast down. Lucifer himself is cast out of heaven by Michael. I believe, the Bible does not say anything about the second war? And I believe that Gabriel falls from grace when he refuses to bow down to Humans. Difference between human and angels is that humans have soul.
And all realized ones in the past has said, if you remember, that our higher self is God. So I believe that Gabriel is the reason for the second war in Heaven. At the end of which there is stalemate (thousand years of peace, remember in Johns revelation ). I do not want to say the archangel Michael and others that are loyal to God, are OK with bowing before Humans. (Remember how Jesus wiped his disciples feets? Does it Ring a bell? It wasn't just an act of humbleness but something more I believe.) Bottomline is Michael is in my good books currently because I haven't heard anything bad against him in the scriptures or other sources. Peace be with you all. ==================Quotes

Wow , I have to see those.Theres several ones with same name: *The Prophecy: Forsaken (2005)

Did you know that there are country specific cuts available for part 1 as well?
For example they have certain dialogue by the Devil in the European version but not in US version. I wonder what else is missing?

is the cleft just below the nose.The guy in Faye's post above has one hehehehe.... Don't we all have it??? Looks like it is a sign from Gabriel who comes to earth.
Ever wonder why the Aliens shown in movies don't have one? Just a note.

I saw Stigmata but I barely remember it. some sort of religious package sent and etc. not going to tell the whole story since now, just that part alone has me remembering it. I've not seen the Antonio Banderas movie - btw, he was in the papers today - i think he got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame recently............correlation, you know? i DID like Constantine very much. Prophecy was a pretty good movie too - it gets more involved as you go from the 1st one to the second one to the 3rd one. THINGS TO MAKE YOU SAY, HMMMMM:

cupid's bow/Philtral DimpleTheory....
If it were true that it was/is a sign of forgetting.....then I submit that it is to forget having past lives and "god" power. is the cleft/cupid's bow a sign of forgetting or more so of keeping it held within you. It's the whole essence of Gabriel's ssssshhhh in The Prophecy. I believe where the forgetting part comes in - i'm picturing that comes in, if you could visualize with me, a baby who is excitedly hand motioning, talking, etc. and you wonder, i wonder what it is they are saying?! After a certain amount of time of doing that, there comes a time when whatever message they might have been coming from them, which might have been the whole meaning behind the cleff/dimple, sssshhhhh is not so much forgotten but imbedded and maybe, just maybe never talked about entirely. maybe, just maybe in bits and pieces throughout a human's existence. just like we are here at lindaland explaining anomelies such as these - bits and pieces coming from us.here is another quote - it's from Demon Knight - Brayker says to Jeryline "When the stars line up, you'll know what to do. OK. I saw Part II and was reminded about half-angel-half-human ones. Yes the Nephilim. Its nice to see a movie that brooches the subject. quote:

I don't think the Prophecy series came here. Other movies that dealt with demonic themes are "The Ninth Gate" and "The Devils Advocate". Loved Stigmata and Constantine  Dean. IP: Logged |

I have seen Devils Advocate and Ninth gate. Nice ones too.Hi Faye, I have seen Prophecy III. Stopping myself from being a spoiler for those who haven't seen the movie. But I feel the ending wasn't great.
I guess thats what happens to most Sequels.

Agreed..not as strong as the first two...but still interesting. And Christopher Walken always adds to the surrealism of anything he acts in.
