It is said you must think twice as fast as you speak.

So when it comes to typing sentences on key board. The speed is already reduced, that is the root of the problem.

Plus on top of that its all that prejudices , conditioning , etc we have around us.

It is for that reason I said recognize that you are not some piece of work but very special indeed.

Love yourself first and then automatically you will love your neighbors.

Its ok if you are ugly. There is someone out there who will love your face. Beauty is relative.

Why do we always compare ourselves with others? Why don't people sing their own tune?

One of the spiritual truth says "You are not more loved than your worst of enemies"
Live that philosophy in life and move on.

Why do some people always need to say that last word? Is there Godliness in that too?

Or is it that order and chaos are cycles of the universe and everyones caught up in that?

This website is ok but not great to discuss such esoteric topics. Total attention is a must.

Hence I don't say much even when I agree or don't agree to some of your comments.

All I wish to see here is respect for each other. I honestly don't have any objective interest in these conversations.

If God is infintely fair, I think he will allow both options for people who choose either

I would rather be on a earth that evolves telepathically. But such an earth will have its unique challenges. For instance I might be having a crush on my coworker and everyone in the office will know about it. yikes. Or I could walk in to a ufo dealer (heheh...I can't say car dealer, can I? i mean, who wants to drive when they can fly) and lets say I lust after I it and think of stealing it. Well I will be caught before I could commit the crime of stealing. Its hypothetical but perhaps gives you an idea. Or its as simple as I do not qualify for such an abode so that new earth does not have to deal with my presence.

I have many bizarre ideas ....

Mirandee seems to have had a Satori moment also on another thread which I think could be related to this conversation here.

Well said again Mirandee. One problem though that you've made me realise about not agreeing with someone is to then not say what it was, which I am as guilty of as much as anyone else about, but I guess we do it due to timing constraints, etc, and maybe we don't wish to argue over sematnics etc. However, sometimes I think it is an injustice to not say why as there is no room for defence, etc. In any case, one thing I disagree about with you (and most I totally agree with - that "most" word is annoying though, isn't it), is the statement:

I'm not sure what this means, are you perhaps saying some people are more responsive? I'm implying here that open means receptive with a willingness to act? So that these people allow God to work through them means others do not, that are perhaps less receptive and willing to act on instinct, etc? Where does humility come in, is it that obnoxious people don't allow themselves to receive? Maybe I don't disagree, but "more open" seems to be a comparative statement that is hard to digest with people, as everyone could be open in one sense, but ignorant and closed in another, and the first sense is the one that must be ecploited in order to allow that person to evolve. If it is not, and the person remains closed, then the next life could be doomed to the same fate, so I feel it is important to open everyone's mind even if they immediately become defensive - maybe the seed will be planted.

Unmoved, could you please care to elaborate? Your statement is highly ambiguous - I asked my wife for clarification as to what "gone in vain" means and was told it depends on context, so rather than supplying the various ways I view that statement, I would prefer to just ask straight up as to what you mean. For clarity, I would say I mentioned your questions because I am interested in continued debate with Stephen regarding his statements and these ongoing questions, not to defend the fact that he did not answer you. You may be OK with that and there may not be an issue, as you have said you wanted to clarify your own view, but I ask out of curiosity as to how he sees this. Curiosity is not a bad thing (I seem to remember Dafremen dislike this term), but people do seem to take it like this - I do not ask for curiosities sake, but for more information that may be used to deepen understanding.

Fayte, One thing I'd love you to do, and I know this may seem hipocritical, but I'd like you (and everyone else in LL) to not edit or delete previous posts due to a difference of opinion. The ONLY time I would desire this to occur is if the subject matter has ongoing offensiveness or excessive language or graphic imagery. I do not find these things constructive to improved understanding of anything - they may illustrate points or come across better in the language of the times, etc, but they are still inappropriate and unnecessary. In terms of what you have said that you wish to change, etc, I don't mind people stating *edited* etc, with a statement for why, but I don't want you to feel that you need to change things unless they are not warranted. I'm just saying try to speak as opennly as you can without worrying about people or changing things to please people. Just answer their questions and move on. I've just noticed recently that people have discussed this, and would like people to be less worried, etc, and more open. Anyhow, just some of my thoughts for you.

Mannu, you know, I don't think I think much before typing or speaking, unless the situation warrants it and you wonder how the information could be misconstrued. In most cases, the very first thing that comes out of your mouth should be used as it is what you feel. As a gemini, "I teach that love is awareness" and hence feelings are communication, but also can be overruled by the mental plane. I try to ignore the mind sometimes in order to understand how I feel. But sometimes, I do think you need to think quicker, it just depends on the situation. As for your statements about ugliness, they never EVER sit right with me. Does anyone really view themselves as ulgy? The worst case scenario is if everyone else does, and the person feels lonely and unloved, but this never really seems to be the case. Most people seem to have a place in society and can live quite happily. Beauty, to me, can actually be more of a curse, as it may cover ugliness or cause a lack of personality in someone who is living our their looks. People may find it hard to look past beauty and see anything - others will see this as power and intimidation and attack the people out of jealousy and ineptitude. In any case, these terms are completely subjective but are a huge part of our society. You can never really escape it, but you can accept, move on, and live with who you are in your world. To obsess about image is not good for anyone, but neither is obessing about anything else. In any case, as souls, we really are as bright as each other, the mental and physical filters can change lives though. Ever seen Napolean Dynamite? I loved this story because the main character is a nerd who isn't really that nice to people, but he did this one dance that just completely expressed who he was, and as a result, I feel he would've moved on to really understand his place in things. In any case, a great movie. I don't mean to preach, I'm just talking.

But I gather you are a nice person and don't set standards before watching.

You had some interesting insights on that topic. And I agree to all that you said. I will first state the context where I was coming from.

What if God decides to walk on earth as a human today? What race, skin color and hair color will he choose?
Most of us set a standard and make judgements about beauty. If God was to come in the dress of a beggar, he will be totally
ignored by many. While if he appears as a hollywoord actor perhaps he will be accepted readily by many.

I am not saying its wrong to judge aesthetic values. Aesthetic values are culture bound.
Many of our ideas of how God should be arises from our own cultural conditioning , mundaness of things etc and we overlook
other great qualitites in a person.
Beauty is the ultimate refuge we all seek don't we, that is when we understand the futility of all other things in life.

I feel that if God chose "one" human form, then she would exist in many races under different names. I once went to meditation school until I realised they were all cultists that followed a young caucasian in Singaport somewhere (not sure where, I was too busy running). Anyhow, it really amazed me that one man could have that much power that when people see him on TV they all must bow - unless you were just a visitor - I wouldn't bow at a TV! Anyhow, I heard him speak about how bad it was to drink over New Years, etc, and just thought what a load of crap, but the cultists lapped it up. Fine for them, have a great New Years bowing at TVs, I say. Anyhow, back to the point.

I don't understand your comment about no sex in a movie implying a lack of standards. Sometimes I feel like I don't have humour, but mate, you have to watch movies with an open mind. I love the foreign movies as much as the next guy, but usually they also have great plots and characters. Ever seen Amelie? I have Libran true node, so I think I do contemplate beauty a fair bit. I once read an article in a Science Encyclopedia that said a few things - one was that the average person would be considered a seven out of ten - not a 5, which I guess is a result of natural selection Another thing was that children are naturally more responsive to "beautiful" people. Lastly, I remember something about the proportions of the face symblising beauty - like the divine proportion being used more often, etc. The last point wasn't in the article, I just read it from somewhere else.

You don't bore me, but I do wonder where you come from sometimes.
