No it didn't. The war described in this longest epic of the world never happened in reality.

Its only a beautiful story written by someone in one sitting.

Characters were created as role models to drivel conscience in to the heads of the coming generations. And Geeta was part of it to drivel consciousness and something higher than that by the same Rishi (seer)

Note most wonderful books were written anonymously. The indian saints believe that humans are empty bamboos. An instrument for God or existence to flow thru them and whatever happens after that , how could "I" lay a claim on it. Hence most excellent scriptures are anonymous.

But this Mahabharat was signed by Rishi Vyas.

I don't think we must get attached to it. The story is to be appreciated.

When I said Life has no purpose. You didn't agree Juni.

It is purposeless. God is not purposive. I said this to my aqua work colleague and observed the same reaction. LOL. But nice to know you agree with me over here for once

Tink, I meant the war perhaps may have never happened. This is nothing new. The late Nobel prize winner, Tagore had said it a long while ago. I am addressing this now because lately there are new episodes shown on indian tv. I am watching it back to back with this new insight and thought it will help others too. Well the christian tv boxes has to wait a bit more before I complete the hindu programming or rather deprogramming LOL.

They say a great war took place in approx 3000 bc and destroyed a great part of civilization. But no such proofs exists. Kurukshetra where the war was fought is supposed be near new delhi.

This story is taught to indians as the story of David /Goliath , Adam/Eve etc to christians.
Well even the story of Adam /eve didn't happen. It was a metaphor to show how man when he chooses knowledge separates from existence.

Moral of the post: From false to truth.

My soul was in slumber and its waking. More missiles labelled "obliterate" on its way.
