In his early days as Acharya Rajneesh, a correspondent once asked Osho for his "Ten Commandments". In his letter of reply, Osho noted that it was a difficult matter, because he was against any kind of commandment, but "just for fun" agreed to set out the following: “ 1. Never obey anyone's command unless it is coming from within you also. 2. There is no God other than life itself. 3. Truth is within you, do not search for it elsewhere. 4. Love is prayer. 5. To become a nothingness is the door to truth. Nothingness itself is the means, the goal and attainment. 6. Life is now and here. 7. Live wakefully. 8. Do not swim – float. 9. Die each moment so that you can be new each moment. 10. Do not search. That which is, is. Stop and see. IP: Logged |

Osho had the right to believe there was no Goddess/God, but it was still his personal opinion, and this ideology should not be adopted by other individuals simply because Osho said so. Atheists have the right to form their viewpoint, but they are just as arrogant as religious fanatics- for neither of them can provide "proof" that there is no God or there is the goddesses and gods they worship. Mannu, you think there is no God only because Osho said there is no God and you happen to be a devoted follower of Osho's. D IP: Logged |

You neither know what Osho was about or what I am about and you started defining both of us.Follow my posts (past ones) and future too if possible. Perhaps you will get your answers. I can only say right now that neither he is an atheist nor I am. There is only man who I can say transformed me and that is Osho. If you are untouched by his words. It is ok. You are not ready I think. Still mesmerized with life and the dream you are in. But I think deep down you are indeed touched somewhere and your mind has now turned towards a quest. Jesus says only sick men need a doctor. If you are not sick you do not need a doctor. Some people here do -- and therefore I hang out for them. So feel free to skip my posts. I am not realized but just on the verge perhaps and that makes it very beautiful. Isn't the Sun most beautiful in dawn and in dusk?

DforD-I have journeyed with 3 masters in all. One who gave me some experience whom I still see rarely. Second I make sure I read most of his books. Third is Osho whose mere mention of name elevates me to unchartered territories. IP: Logged |

Thanks. I read these a long time ago; nice to revisit. I drop Osho every so often, and come back to him every so often for some refreshing sips. His words are forever alive for me too.I really like number 2 & 4. Number 4 is so simple yet so deep in truth it easily escapes some. Thanks for sharing. You know the risk in doing so though, Mannu. lol Just his name evokes strong emotions in some. I've enjoyed many dips below that surface as well. He's provoked great awakenings in me too. IP: Logged |
