The Immaculate Heart of Mary
Mary, the Mother of Jesus, is reverently called a Virgin.
She is the Vessel, Purified of Sin, and fit to bear the Christ.
So, it is that the Soul must become Emptied of Itself,
for this is the Purification which makes Room for the Messiah.
Immacualte means "clean", or, more appropriately, "spotless".
If we would know God, in the complete fullness of God,
we must be willing to turn our lives over to Him utterly.
In every moment,
we should be Prepared to Wait upon the Grace of Our Lord,
and incline a spiritual ear to the subtle voice of His Will.
This sacrifice of self-will, and intention to be of service to God,
is the inner act of purification which the Mother exemplifies.
She is our most perfect and precious Guide to the Life of God;
for the Life is the Christ Within, but the Mother is a turning inward.
