Religious feeling is only a higher octave of natural feeling. Goodness, kindness, mercy, charity, compassion, forgiveness, and love are more than enough to make a true believer out of one who is highly sensible of them.

Not a quote per se:

"When I was alone in the dark, you found me, when no one cared, you did, some doors I regret opening, you Most High were there for me"

Thank you

"It is not unusual in today's busy world for the exceptionally gifted to be superfluous, because they don't fit or don't fit in with all the particular things to which the busy want to direct them or want them to be occupied with or used for. Nevertheless, their superfluity serves the Creator's honor more than all the important affairs of the busy...

[The] bird is never in two minds. He is not -- even if it might look as if he were in two minds because of how he flies hither and thither. Rather, it is the opposite; in fact, it is quite certain that he flies hither and thither for pure joy. This is not the uncertain flight of a creature in two minds, but the light arc of complete obedience."

~ Soren Kierkegaard

Surprised no one put this one yet,

"Religion is the Opium of the people"-Karl Marx..

but more correctly

"Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation. It is the opium of the people."

and back in his time, it was used to make people turn a blind eye to the injustice of their own situations,as for these days ...no comment.

Sufi saint, Mahmud Shabistari, in his work Gulshan-i Raz (The Mystic Rose Garden) declared:

what is mosque, what is synagogue, what is fire temple? ... ‘I’ and ‘You’ are the Hades veil between them.. When this veil is lifted up from before you, there remains not the bond of sects and creeds.
