Does anybody know of the Healing Pool of Bethesda? The Impotent Man at The Pool of Bethesda. John 5:2-15 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep (market or gate) a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches; in these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water, etc. In John's Gospel, chapter 5 verses 1 to 15, the author describes a pool in Jerusalem, near the Sheep Gate, called Bethesda, surrounded by five covered colonnades. Until the 19th century, there was no evidence outside of John's Gospel for the existence of this pool. Skeptical scholars said that the gospel was written later, probably by someone whoe did not have first-hand knowledge of the city of Jerusalem, and that the pool had a metaphorical or symbolic, rather than actual, significance. Then in the nineteenth century, archaeologists discovered the remains of a pool exactly matching the description in John's Gospel. IP: Logged |

Can you tell the standing Position of Jesus in Pool of Bethesda ?Pool of Bethesda John 5:1-10 There is a pool in Jerusalem that is called ‘Bethesda’. ‘Bethesda’ means ‘the flowing water which is used for washing & cleaning’. The word ‘Bethesda’ has been used in Bible symbolically. In the Gospel of John this pool of water is near the ‘Sheep Gate’. This ‘Sheep Gate’ has not been analyzed clearly. Many scholars of Bible call it the ‘Sheep Market’, where sheep were displayed for sacrifice at the temple of Jerusalem. The sheep were bathed at that pool before being sacrificed. Some ancient scholars consider ‘Bethesda’ having double ponds. The water in one of the parts remained red. They argue that blood of sheep turned the water into red color. Thousands of sheep were sacrificed everyday. So much blood kept reddish water of ‘Bethesda’ pool. By the ‘Sheep Gate’ they mean the ‘Sheep Market’. Either the scholars calling it the ‘Sheep Market’ are true because the sheep gate has no meaning, then why the Gnostic writer John write the ‘Sheep Gate’ ? Is this the result of some error or John was an ignorant writer? John is talking about five porches of that pool. But the ‘Pool of Bethesda’, which is located by the scholars of Bible, has more than twenty porches. At the ‘Historical Discovery Channel’ of T. V. Some scholars are telling that foundation of the ‘Bethesda’ pool contains the red colored bricks and clay, which turned the water in red color. ‘O God’, forgive these scholars unknowingly they are guessing wildly! Let us move towards the real analysis of this story written by John. Ordinarily the sheep is known for its hair. There is hair all over its body. They are reared for the purpose of wool. Always the symbols are used in Gnostic writings. As such, John has used the word ‘Sheep’ only as a symbol of hair. John has nothing of sheep’s real meaning. John is also not talking about the sacrifice of sheep. He is only telling about the ‘Sheep Gate’ which means ‘the gate of hair’. What is this ‘gate of hair’? IP: Logged |

The story of the pool of ‘Bethesda’ is parallel to those two stories of the ancient Jewish Bible, which can consider as vulgar. The first story (Genesis 19:30-37) is the story of ‘Lot and his two daughters’ in which both the daughter get pregnant by their father and give birth to ‘Moabites’ and ‘Ammonites’ dynasties ? The second story is that of Jacob’s son Reuben and his mother ‘Bilhah’ (Zillah) (Genesis 35:22) Reuben rapes his mother and runs away. There is difference between these three stories. Though the stories of ‘Lot and his daughter’ and ‘Bilhah’ (Zillah) the mother of Reuben” are vulgar but their sense is spiritual. Contrary to that the story “Pool of Bethesda” seems to be spiritual but its real depiction is vulgar.Let us reveal the mystery of John’s Gospel. ‘Sheep Gate’ is the vulva of women. Its entrance is covered with hair Later on a Gnostic scholar has written symbolically. “The pool of Bethesda” has two parts one of which contains reddish water. John has already written that the pool has five porches. Bethesda a pool...........two parts...................five porches.................one’s with water mixed with blood................two porches in the blood part...................human beings are born in one................from the second porch the blood flows every month.......................the second part of the pool...............from the third porch of which the sperm comes out................from the fourth of porch the same part urine comes out according to need................. In the fifth and the last porch the penis of a man keeps on coming and going (.................The early writers speak of it as a double pool the fifth portico running between the two basin, but give no details as to its location................ ‘Bethesda’, ................. ‘the pool’ — Catholic Encyclopedia). The penis can’t reach first four porches. The material to come out of five porches from vulva is necessary to purification of human body (John 5:4). “The first one into the pool after each such disturbance would be cured”. It means only one-at-a-time same like vulva. A man is here since thirty eight years, this is the imperceptive mystic symbol of not thirty eight years, but thirty eight weeks. The human being has to live in the womb for the thirty eight weeks (about nine months). The human being is released after thirty eight weeks (approximately). IP: Logged |

The Healing at the Pool 1Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews. 2Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda[a] and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. 3Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed.[b] 5One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?" 7"Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me." 8Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your cot and walk." 9At once the man was cured; he picked up his cot and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath, 10and so the Jews said to the man who had been healed, "It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your cot." Can a diseased person walk taking up his cot (khat - like bad, wooden frame weaving with cord of twisted grass), while in the Bible the patients is shown incapable, who can not even move his body like an unborn mammal. How would that person walk with his cot? Why does Jesus say to that patient to walk taking up his cot? This cot represents the bones and intestine of the child who is in the womb. No hard object like bone comes out from the above five porches. The hard bone has been compared with a hard wooden cot (Cot ‘khat’ = human skeleton). After thirty eight weeks (a time of pregnancy) the child comes out in this world and begins a life. John sends a word to Jesus about law of nature. “Rise takes up Thy bed (cot) and walk”. Even a diseased person never takes up his cot. The cot of diseased is a child’s skeleton, which he lifts whole of life. This is a mystical depiction of this story. The elements which come out from these five porches, not accept man-made time table or other bindings of day and night. This was a holiday (Sabbath day), the day of prayer. This day is prohibited for any work by the Jews. It was only to oppose such rituals of the Jews by Jesus showing the truth. ( If the “Pool of Bethesda” was constructed in a guidance of the Gnostics, its structure should match with woman’s inner organ ). Source: Mystery of Bethesda This Book is about to complete.
