Very comforting for many, I guess. Would like to add, that we have to try to look and feel deeply into the very roots of groupthink and peer pressure in general - in ourselves - to be able to prevent establishment of exactly the same structures in our new peer group... (the very latter mentioned briefly in the beginning of the video, didn't have time right now to watch the whole, more than 3 hours...) ...as we suffered from/fled from in the old... which would only continue to hold us captive and hurt (yet help to develop) those, who outgrew us even there... And one should be aware of fleeing into new, fixed ideas - whithout (self-) critical reflection, open for any insights and outcome - which would give an illusion of security and maybe a substitute for love, in ourselves and/or through acceptance and possibly admiration from the new peer group. This is how cults with distructive wanna-be-gurus develop, often this stays just very subtle and hardly visible, but the structures and consequenes remain the same - within a little talk between two people, family/relationship-dynamics, a power game in a group or in the interactions of a nation/whole humanity... Great video.... I was never a fan of democracy, but don't know what the best concept/form of government would be, since even 'philosopher-kings' - as suggested by Plato - could be/turn (partly) blind and selfish. And who would choose them ? The other blinds and selfish ? God, (and dna) as in kingship by birth-right/-task ? God/the highest intelligence and endless love seems to not always (but sometimes he does) put people/souls/spirits into such bodies/positions, who are then guiding their peoples with an even delicate reflection of the light of the higher realms... But maybe that is exactly his plan, otherwise - how could we learn ? Still we have to try to let as much light as possible shine into any relationship or government - we might be sent at that moment to some, who are ready to see it, who we can help/serve, maybe even by just causing anger or confusion for the time being/if viewed short-sightedly from some perspectives... Sorry for the not so perfect English, takes me too much time to write it more clearly/simple/effective... Edit to add : Maybe I should relativate the last thought - maybe it's too early sometimes and people need more time to live through some very necessary experiences... I'm not sure in some situations, sometimes I am... IP: Logged |
