Well, when Abram was made to be Abraham, the father of the Jews, that is the literal place you start. Yes, Ismael and Isaac were his sons but it is clear that the PROMISE came through Isaac. Ishmeal got lands and riches(oil) but Gods plan for man including the Law(Moses) and the messiah(Jesus) was through the JEWISH line.
The modern state of Israel is part of that lineage.
There are geographical borders given to Isaac and to Ishmeal. Ishmeal got tons and tons of land but Israel got her land.All people in the end times must choose on whose side they will go. That is in the Bible, too.
It is the spiritual battle between Ishmeal and Isaac. It is fought out on the earth( and will never be solved until Jesus returns) but the roots of it are in Genesis with Isaac and Ishmael with Ishmeal wanting what was Isaacs, just as they do to this day. One cannot really be a Christian and reject Israel as it is YOUR heritage, too, as you are the wild olive branch. The Jews are the root. ------------------

I had asked you if you were an adherent to the Pauline Doctrine which teachs we are saved by Grace and and abandons the ritual dietary teachings of the Law of Moses. Jesus did not teach that nor claim it as Paul teachs
(he came to fullfill the Law of Moses and the prophets). That`s why some christians adhere to the Law of Moses and it`s dietary rituals. ------------------

Yes, I believe in the Pauline doctrine. We are saved by grace through faith but the faith is not of ourselves. It is a gift from God.
Well, why would you not want to give aid to Israel and want to give it to Arab countries if you do not hate Israel?

Ami Anne, there is a huge difference between disliking a countrys politics and her people and heritage. Please note I have said this before too. PLEASE do not put the word "hate" in my mouth. You may feel hate but do not project it. Hate is an ugly word and one I don`t use or feel towards anyone or thing.

Well, Juni, what you fail to see is that YOU, as a Christian, are part of Israel as she is fufillment of the Bible. You are the wild olive branches grafted onto the natural tree which is the Jews and Israel. Israel is YOUR country/heritage as well as mine, if you are a Bible believing Christian.------------------

Since you insist on putting this in GU, I want to give my opinion and then I will not come back.
Someone who cannot answer a simple political question has a dislike/hatred for Israel and the Jewish people.
You cannot separate politics from one's heart.
I have done my part by explaining the role of Israel in the Bible. You can accept it or reject it. That part is not my domain. That is all I am called on to do.
