Now, since you believe in God, I'm going to assume that you also believe this about God:
That it is “Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, Omnibenevolent”
If do you believe in all of that, you are compounding you position of TRUST! As now it is being reinforced by an entity who can do NO-wrong! And by extension any action taken in its name by a true believer CANNOT be wrong!
This leads one to the position of absolute FAITH and TRUST in an such an entity, for to NOT believe in this God Existing would be madness!
Can you not see the great cognitive dissonance that should proceed from such a position? An absolute TRUST in God is backed up by absolutely NO proof!
That cannot EVER be the basis for a stable society! In a society where TRUST and FAITH are one, and neither requires proof... The society you just created is nothing short of ABSOLUTE chaos! (See, I knew you were a die-hard Lovecraft fan all along, ye be the spawn of Azathoth [Wink])
Further more your argument is suggestive of Faith/Religion proceeding Morality, now since God was FIRST in your system... GOD's word IS the definition of Morality... Again the cognitive dissonance of this statement is actually and should be VERY frighting!
Because to compound the problem in the society of CHAOS that requires no proof of its OVERLORD actually existing. The rule system to which its inhabitants must live by and TRUST in are based on ZERO accountability and ZERO proof of being good and just!

But ok, lets look at what kind a society the “Religion of Atheism” will make!?
For the Athiest, proof of varying degrees IS required for the acceptance of both FAITH and TRUST! And at its maximum requires absolute truth. This creates a Cheques and Balances system that makes one question any and all ACTIONS before they take place!
Which then causes responsibility to fall solely upon the individual who is making said actions. A society built on such a system is therefore under maximum accountability for every human within its bounds! Morality in this system is NOT ruled by an invisible GOD, since a being that exhibits no proof of its existence has ZERO accountability!
When it comes to Morality: Well... Ill save myself some time here and quote HPL:
