It's bothered me for a while now, but I've always felt four elements wasn't complete. Then it just came to me;

-Water: emotion
-Plant: creation
-Air: thought
-Light: ego
-Fire: drive
-Metal: stability
-Earth: being
-Dark: shadow
-Divinity/Void/Aether/whatever one calls it.

Something about the nine just makes it feel complete.

Water: Emotions/Reservations
Plant: is a part of water.(Seeds)
Earth is a part of water.(Ground)

Air: Conscience/Unconscience
Light: Ego/Humility is a part of Air
Dark: Shadow/Silhouette is a part of Air.

Fire: Drive/Sleep
Divinity: Creation/Destruction is a Part of fire
Metal:Stability/Unsteadiness is a part of fire.

Next is

Water can destroy Fire
Air gives fuel to the Fire

A fire naturally occurs when the elements are present and combined in the right mixture, and a fire can be prevented or extinguished by removing any one of the elements....

Just my two cents again.

Eh... that's where I disagree. There's always a point where one fades into the next; the Yin-Yang only shows the extremes, but there's a point where New Yin becomes New Yang. I think of it as when Day becomes Twilight and then Night and the other way around.
