My other thread was closed before I had a chance to reply, and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before this thread is closed too but this is an honest question...If you're so adamantly religious and can't handle religious debates... Then why are you on an astrology forum? Why does this forum cater to Christian viewpoints? Just some food for thought lol

Honestly, I don't get it either. Obviously, the locked thread started with my comment. I simply disagreed with Ami's comment and probably should have provided more context.I think it is a very slippery slope to say that being religious/being with God gives you morals because: 1) that implies if you aren't religious/believe in God you lack morals, 2) doesn't address the alternative that if you are religious that you can lack morals. So my point was that for some religion may have provide moral basis, but I prefer to keep it out because it morals do not derive from one place or institution and it also creates a false black and white perception of things. People are allowed to disagree with me of course. Religion is a tough thing to discuss period- people are always going to disagree and tend to take it personally when you deviate from their viewpoints. I try not to discuss it, because I know if I simply disagree people get salty about it. Not going to answer your last question- I agree, and I will leave it at that. Honestly though, the religion issue wasn't my biggest concern in that thread.

See the thing is, the topic thread you posted may have said religion, but there was more going on in that thread besides religion.Why is a grown as.s man with kid on the way attacking a teenager? ^ I see your point (addressed to AG), but FireMoon wasn't only discussing religion. It also relates to debating and how the art of debating is lost. She honestly wanted to know why people can't have a debate without people getting upset about someone having a different view on religion. The people who she wanted to respond don't really post in here.I understand why this was moved (one, it would get locked inevitably, two there is this forum), but FireMoon wanted a discussion, which really won't happen here. The other thread (original) got locked because a grown man started attacking a teenager out of nowhere. I could say a lot but I won't because it's about members of LL and not religion. I'm tired and honestly don't know how to treat this thread since it actually is about members more than the topic of religion. Randall moved it here so what I can I do? I don't know if I'll be here tomorrow, got something special planned. I'll probably stop in briefly but not with a lot of time to think things through.
