Yeah...we need a woofer-less world!Hi mirage! Thanks so much again for that birthday thread, it really made my day, as soon as I saw it. Such amazing, beautiful people here...we're so fortunate to have found each other. Thanks Randall, since you may be reading or skimming and catching this! Just got back from 3D Star Wars and I'm impressed but shell-shocked, and grappling with The Meaning of it All. Like, Luke Skywalker retreats to an isolated corner of the universe?? Is he a Pisces or what?? Wish I could go there too, some days. Anyway just wanted to pop in and say I hope everything is okay with you, mirage. Hope your year is good so far! Thanks again for all your kindness. IP: Logged |

Faith! ... You know one of the things I like about you is that you check-in and 'ask' if things are right. YES, the me part of "we" is fine relationship wise. ... {{ }} The trust issues problem you read don't have anything to do with people here. It's another part of my personal world that kinda intersects with LL, but is not LL. The other posts you read were about someone else specific with whom I'd had an up and down relationship. He crossed a MAJOR boundary line. I'm sooo pleased that your birthday thread turned out to have some high quality posts. See how much people love you?....... I see you pour yourself out all around. I understand about being too tired to post, and running out of exclamation points! It's Okay! I'm like you a bit with wanting to respond, and the mood doesn't match the inside response. It's best to wait sometimes. I hope you feel okay with your health. You were feeling more concerned with that, from what you said? And hoping you and h are having an easier time... I've got to go to bed right now. Letting my times shift and going to bed later, but may go back to previous schedule I had. Will see. Sorry to make this post short... Have a nice weekend... Thank you for all of this. I had to erase that post, I felt kinda whiny there. I decided to visit Yellow Wax today and am so touched by how much you care for people. I don't think I've seen anything like it in my life. Very amazing and I hope that whatever you put out there comes back to you, somehow...in some form. Much love as usual IP: Logged |

awwww Your post wasn't whiny, Faith.... I didn't 'hear' it that way at all-- {{ }} It was deep, and REAL. ((Thank you for what you said about YW. )) I never got into Star Wars when it first came out. Missed it, somehow-- too busy back then! ... I always liked Star Trek. IP: Logged |

Yes, but we don't know who the mother is. They left her on the planet when she was little, and she never gave up on them coming back. IP: Logged |

The way they used to design churches/places of worship in the more Ancient days, the building WAS the woofer. There is nothing like being in the right place of a sound experience. IP: Logged |

Good point, mirage! Maybe even the Pyramids? And I remember seeing a Digging for the Truth episode about some South American tribe that created special tunnels in which to experience a drug trip, ie vision quest, where the acoustics were especially dramatic. Thanks for saying I wasn't whiny. Star Wars is good!!! @Randall Yes, I suppose so...or maybe he knew she was coming and wasn't surprised. Seems like child neglect to leave her, just so he could veg out in paradise. But we'll see.... IP: Logged |

Actually, I want to make a point about woofers-- Woofers are good. When I'm in a place (like a mega-church) that has their Quality sound system in place, with World Class technicians who understand their craft, it can be bone-shaking loud coming at me, and this feels euphoric. There's a certain 'level' of loud that I perceive acts almost like a drug inside the body (for lack of better words). It aids in 'shifting' moods and creating atmospheres. Much of that is like a 'medicinal'... There's INCREDIBLE power in Sound. What I experience 'here', in my dinky little space? are the derivative systems. Minis. You know how 'perfume' is? You can have the REAL elegant Beautiful actual Perfume, or buy a bottle at the Dollar-Store. Same smell?? ugk, hardly, and yet the-same. So anyways, around here it's like this with the sound: the difference between a World Class musician making a note on a Quality Violin, or fingernails down a chalk-board (if you remember chalkboards! LOL). Same NOTE???? can evoke different response in the human nervous system's electrical experience. ... Have a Beautiful Day! IP: Logged |

He probably left her to keep her safe. But we will have to wait till next year to find out. R2D2 was programmed to reboot after she was found (although the film did a bad job of showing this). So, perhaps, he was expecting her. IP: Logged |

Yes yes...loved your discussion of it. Somehow you cleverness freshens up everything and makes it seem wondrous, even something as "basic" as music, that most of us take for granted. Hmmm, you know some say, sound is like the underlying force and carrier of Spirit...in the beginning was the Word...and many other traditions accept and promote the same idea. I tell myself from time to time, to get into sound therapy, but still haven't. It's always on tomorrow's plate. @Randall Ahhh you make good points. Cannot wait for the next film!!! IP: Logged |

That makes her and Ren cousins, of course. Luke means "Light" in Jedi speak. And what better name that a Jedi would choose for a child than Rey (Ray)? She is Luke's ray of Light...and the world's. This little Light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. IP: Logged |

The internet is filled with other thoughts, though. Such as Rey being Ren's sister (separated at birth) or her being the reincarnation of Anakin. IP: Logged |

Thanks so much, mirage. We have a whole house generator and heat with firewood, so we should be okay. I'm worried about other people. Not sure how everyone will cope if there are any serious outages, broken lines or whatever. This Mercury-Pluto on my sun is peculiar, keeping me up late with worries, but keeping me active as well....fighting off my fears by tackling them head-on...a bit of that. Hope you stay tornado-less. @Randall I saw that, too...Rey & Ren, brother and sister? I don't like it. There should have been some foreshadowing then, when Han Solo met her. IP: Logged |
