No.And if I did, we'd need to talk...and I'd show no reverence to that angel, at least not at first (and not unless I was satisfied with some explanations).

But with that said, here's an observation that gave me a way to look at it in a way I liked:

previously written by Mirage

had a little prayerbook when I was 5 or 6 years old, that had the Guardian Angel prayer in it. Inside the front cover a plastic Crucifix.
(Was a Catholic child's 1950s prayerbook).

This was the prayer, to recite daily to the Guardian Angels.

Mirage, my cousin had a similar (possibly the same) book. My Aunt named her Angelica too. My aunt was in touch with Angelic realms I think. Never did she share this though. My father's side was Catholic.

You certainly seem to have a pronounced connection with them.

I agree Randall. This might be when we hear of divine interventions. Like that miracle swerve from crashing a car. Often it is like an energy out of nowhere but from within swerved from a crash off a cliff or from hitting a tree.

Beautiful post and Angel graphic Mirage!
Omg, I loved that video in the mornings when I was a teen. I even forgot that tune because iir it was on the B side of Like a virgin or less air played. I've forgotten. As trendy as she was it was her less radio played songs I much more liked tho. Thank you Mirage for adding it.

Feast of St. Michael
September 29th each year
aka Michaelmas

Folk Customs and several Food Recipes are listed, after historical references are shared.
Goose was traditionally eaten.

"St. Michael is patron of knights, policemen, soldiers, paramedics, ambulance drivers, etc., and also danger at sea, for the sick, and of a holy death. He is usually depicted in art carrying a sword and/or shield, battling satan."
. . .

Michaelmas Daisy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aster_(genus)
. . .

(music) Michaelmas (Lorraine Nelson Wolf, young children's folklore songs) [1:43] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jh4Lmm2XOVQ

sidenote--The wiki reference site had Michaelmas falling in days of October, so this was a bit confusing.

I thought I saw one when I was small. I've talked about it before, and am tired, so won't try now.

I used to be, but I'm not certain anymore.

When I was three, I was up all night with my sister, my mother, and her friend (a neigbour). I never understood why, when I remembered it, because mum was rarely up all night, so it was weird.

It turned out that it was the night before my mum left my dad, taking us out of the country. He'd been upset earlier that night, threw his shoes, and accidentally hit me with one, which upset him even more. I just remember playing underneath the table with my sister, as mum talked with her friend.

When her friend was about to leave, I started to run to my parent's room, when I stopped cold, and said, "Mommy, look at the *beautiful* angel!" They couldn't see anything, and mum just kind of agreed with me. Her friend Mona, didn't like it, and made a sign of the cross, as I was asking mum, "angels won't hurt you, will they mommy?" She said they wouldn't, and I continued on to their room, crawling into bed with my dad. Mona told mum to call her in a few minutes, when she would be home, and to leave the phone off the hook. She didn't see it as a good sign at all.

About half-an-hour later, my sister, who had been playing quietly, came running into where mum was sitting, threw her head in her lap, crying, "it's a bird! It's a bird! it's going to get me!" Which freaked mum out.

I dreamed about that night when I was sixteen, when I was stressed. I asked mum if I'd seen an angel, and that's when she told me all about it.

I've had really good luck, and really bad luck. I don't understand a lot of things, and I've never seen anything as an adult. I used to feel good, due to the memory itself. Just, that was cool, I'd seen an angel, and they were there to look over our little family. But with things that happened in recent years, and not just to us, I don't know what I believe anymore.

Teasel.. so sorry. You were an innocent child, and had seen something "pretty" and profound.

There's a window of time where sometimes children {and other ages} get glimpses into the in-between realms.

I am convinced that some children who are in a situation of peril or abuse in the home (or in danger-situations in their country) are provided some of these inner-outer apparitions as a Consolation and Sign of Care.

It's really an excellent thing that your mother was able to remember this Angel encounter for your sake.
(Provides you with a mark in your memory, and an imprint of What's Possible and Good within the reality of the Higher divine realms.)

{btw, It's possible that she's still watching over your affairs in the other realms-- from the Cloud of Witnesses. Our relatives and other positive entities and angels can gather to cheer for you, until you finish the course, the race .. (scripture, Bk of Hebrews) }

What reportedly was happening with your sister was unfortunate for her--- (and later, for you, as your little ears and eyes saw and heard it). Maybe she was influenced by TV watching, maybe saw Hitchcock horror movie, The Birds? at that time. That movie scares adults!! LOL

Holy scriptures say that 'the enemy' of God will come right-away to 'steal' .. to steal, kill, and destroy. The devil and his fallen entities are jealous!!!-- and want to tear at anything that makes you happy, or that gives you faith. Some lower-forces are invested in stealing {the peace in your mind} of any 'Good' of any innerGod-experience.

Your "option" becomes a matter of what and which-one to believe.

It's with "the Heart" that one Believes.

Believe your own self, and self's original interpretation of What you Saw. Feed your inner spirit on Faith in these things.

The supernatural realms, are a mystery--
Some people have the ability to see into it-- using the Eyes of The Heart.

You Are Not Alone . . .

(music) I Believe/You'll Never Walk Alone (Barbra Streisand, lyrics) [6:43] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCH97efMeD0
