In Sura 27 verse 88, Quran mentions the rotation of earth by a perfect metaphor of the firmness and stability of mountains.88. And you see the mountains, and imagine them fixed, yet they pass, as the passing of the clouds—the making of God, who has perfected everything. He is fully Informed of what you do. clearquran.com/027.html Simply you see the mountains as solid stable symbols of fixation to the ground yet they are passing by just like the clouds in the sky. Clear point that the earth is rotating on its own axis.
