since i was in the 8th grade, mnay, mnay moons ago 13 has been my lucky number.i know of opheucus being the 13th astrological sign. jesus & the 12 diciples, the 13s on a $1 bill, 13 withces make a coven yet i seem to be missing quite a lot as to how much more power this number holds. i say that because in star signs linda talks of how "he who understands how to use the number 13 will be given power and dominion". it is not that power and dominion are what i seek, i would just like to see how much more mystical this number is and why for to know it is to love it even more. I love number 13. So many people fear it, and that makes me love it more. Friday the 13th is always a very lucky day for me. You do have to be careful driving, though, due to the self-fulfilling prophecies of other people. I just make sure I'm extra aware. ------------------ "Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." Charles Schultz IP: Logged |

13 is fortunate to me too. I am a number 1 person and 4 and its series is fortunate to me. I notice that often 13 pops into my life out of my control and in general is fortunate to me.IP: Logged |

I love 13 too! it rocks hard. I was in Mexico, at a silver market and there was a bookmark (ex girlfriend stole it......darnit) with 13 and all other lucky symbols on it.America is like one of the only places that says its bad..but thats because the founding fathers and others know how important the vibration is..13 and 4, per see JULY 4Th... instead of letting everyone take advantage of the vibrations of these numbers, they (others later) condemned it as a number of bad luck. remember the dollar bill wasn't constructed until like Roosevelt term, so it really had nothing to do with the thirteen colonies and such..its a number of POWER, just like the vibration says-and we are all holding those things in our pockets, trading them amongst each other...when we have money, we are happy...never are you sad..lol! number 13 or 4 holding a positive vibration when YOU AND I are holding one too. I think 13 is one of the most powerful numbers...and I respect it fully. Look at the dollar bill...look up in the righ t hand corner, the number one has a OWL hidden in the upper left hand corner of the 1. The Owl is a animal of luck too...it was on the silver bookmark I had also...hmmm? It represents death in some countries too,but renewal. so all those symbols of 13 on the dollar and a owl hidden in the corner (get a magnifier and you'll see it. all the occult crap that was going on during world war II,the death of Teddy and the sacrificing of Japanese people in two locations..yes i said Sacrificing...Its all occult that has to do with people trying to partake in Power. 13 is a great number...sometimes taken advantage of by notorious fools, but it always comes back on those that use it in a negative way...such is the way of 4...and 8 IP: Logged |

I love 13! Love it!I speculate that the power Linda Goodman was talking about was the power to divide and conquer, or to destroy and rebuild - and there is a very fine line between failure and success when one uses upheaval to gain power. And I assume this is the power of 13. If you destroy something to gain power for your personal enrichment - it will bite you back hard. But, if one uses upheaval to destroy something so that power is gained by the entire system, not just the self, I think this is when the 13's power through upheaval is not hurtful. 13 has to be used with the Love of the one creator, and this love states that what I do to you, I do unto myself. The law also expands and says, by giving to others, I receive - so by taking from others, I am being robbed ( I lack). So, if 13 and upheaval is used to empower others, or the system - you reap great rewards from the system. and visa versa. Hence, 13 is associated with revolutions and breaking new ground for new things to grow. it is a aggressive yet replenishing power, not an aggresively destructive power - and it should be used in the correct way, or else... i don't need the teepee, i don't live so far away. i live HERE, wherever that is at the moment. i usually talk then think. the wheels spin, the wheels turn and out cranks a lot info. sometimes, i do not want to even think. i am a be-ing and i just want to be. so when people have sent out new info or info not re-membered yet, i like to let it "sit" within. and within that stillness may what comes - come and may what be - be. i don't like to throw words out just to "hear" mys-elf talk. i don't like to waste my energy or yours. ya see? but as long as i am in teepee, i will pass the peace pipe on to you IP: Logged |

Something I found online on the number 13.. 13: A Secret Number of Sacred Power
We are told that 13 is an unlucky number. The date Friday the 13th is taboo because the Knights Templar were arrested and condemned by the seneschals of Philippe IV, King of France, in a "pre-dawn raid" on Friday, October 13th, 1307. The number 13 has been shunned for centuries. Some architects omit the 13th floor from office buildings to this very day. Is it possible that the folklore associated with the number 13 is absolutely apocryphal? Or that it has become a demonized numeral precisely because it was sacred in pre-Christian times? Think about it. It is an oddly recurring sum. 12 apostles and a messiah. 12 Knights of the Round Table and King Arthur. The number 13 recurs too consistently in such significant contexts to be purely arbitrary. And of course, it’s not. 13 was a number central to certain traditions of sacred geometry, because it reflected a pattern which could be seen to exist in man, nature, and the heavens. For instance, there are 13 major joints in your body. There are 13 lunar cycles in a solar year, and the moon travels 13 degrees across the sky every day. Six circles placed around a seventh central circle is a model of geometric efficiency and perfection in the second dimension that has been known to mathematicians for ages. But this same configuration in three dimensions consists of 12 spheres arranged around one central sphere, making 13 in all - the most compact three-dimensional arrangement recurrent in nature. A commentator writing about the Aztec calendar once said that, "Thirteen is a basic structural unit in nature. It means the attracting center around which elements focus and collect." Is this, then, the reason for Christ’s 12 disciples, King Arthur’s 12 knights, or the 12 major constellations in relation to our sun? The likelihood seems great indeed. Assuming that the number 13 played a prominent role in the sacred traditions being preserved by the Knights Templar, and that the Vatican wished to keep this from coming to light, does it not follow that they purposely chose Friday the 13th as the date upon which to arrest the Templars? In many traditions, Friday is a holy day. If our assumptions are correct, Friday the 13th would be doubly sacred to the Templars. This may well have constituted the Church’s final "screw you" to the Order whose power they so feared and envied. 13 is of particular interest to us because of Tracy Twyman’s work on the "Golden Calendar", which is based on multiples of 13, such as 26 and 52. Interestingly, our modern calendar still bears vestiges of this, and retains the concept of 52 weeks in a calendar year. According to the website dayofdestiny.com, the Aztec century was based on a unit of 52 years, and native people in South America, who believed in an impending apocalypse that would occur on a certain date, would, "ritually demolish and destroy their civilization every 52 years", as a sort of "dress rehearsal." The glyph which represents both the start and end of the Aztec calendar is known as "13 Cane", and symbolizes the death of one cycles, followed by the birth of another - the Alpha and Omega. Strangely, this is very much what the 13th rune - called "Eiwaz" - means in the Northern European mythos. It represents the balance point between light and dark, the creative force and the destructive force, or the heavens and the Underworld. It too is the Alpha and Omega at the same time. It signifies death, but it also signifies eternal life. In the traditional tarot deck, the 13th card is the Death card. It also represents not merely death, but rebirth and renewal. These were obviously pivotal concepts to ancient cultures, the understanding of which has faded down the centuries. But isn’t it remarkable that this specific notion always seems to be associated with the number 13, even in cultures as seemingly dissimilar as those of Northern Europe and South America? It is interesting to note that although the 13th rune was the central rune in the oldest runic alphabet, and the symbol around which all the others were ordered; by the time the second runic alphabet emerged, the "Eiwaz" rune was absent. What this seems to indicate is that even in very ancient times, this symbol so representative of the world-view central to Northern European thought had vanished due to the fact that the idea it represented had also been lost. This idea seems to constitute some ancient understanding of Hermetic thought. Of course, the idea didn’t simply disappear, it was kept alive by certain initiates who preserved and passed down the secrets of an esoteric tradition. Perhaps this is why the number 13 has always been associated with magic and the occult, and why it is a number perceived to possess some mysterious yet tangible power. It is an emblem of a secret knowledge, a knowledge which does indeed confer power upon those conversant with it. It is a knowledge that religious orthodoxies have long feared and tried to suppress. 13 may be perceived as unlucky to those who fear the secret gnosis it represents, but for adherents of that gnosis it is (as it always was), a sacred number. sunny rains-holy **** , batman!!! great, great info. yes, i, too, had all the info from star signs about the skeleton, scythe, etc. but this.... to me, there is definitely some inherent magic, wisdom within 13. i have done some work with runes. it is so cool when there is that BUMP between so many of things one has learned and studied from such various regions and cultures. that is right in line with what you were talking about, sunny quote: . But isn’t it remarkable that this specific notion always seems to be associated with the number 13, even in cultures as seemingly dissimilar as those of Northern Europe and South America?
it is really not all too surprising because at the basic nature of people, especially primitive, we had to rely on intuition, the star, the planets, the extra-terrestrials/HOME, for our basic understanding of things. that sense of intuition is the same for all and back then it was even more developed than what we have today. it was our instrument for it was one of the only ones. it goes to show us all how connected we all truly are. so not surprising but YES remarkable!!!! thanks again and many blessings IP: Logged |

I just read that article. To me, that was a whole load of makeshift information, for lack of a better term.Randal - According to Linda, these are good numbers individually, but when put together they equal havoc, evil, and pain coupled with hypnotizing people and mind control - lower occultism. Did I mention that my name equals to 17? All my numbers when put together have some warning of something fated and doomed- some ancient evil being unleashed on me, by me or because of me. I wouldn't ve surprised if someone told me that I was the spawn of something devious, or even the anti-christ himself. But wouldn't it be funny if the anti-Christ was a woman? Even astrology makes me seem suspect. ... But I can't stop living because of numbers. That's why I try to ignore them, or their negative sides. IP: Logged | |
