So, I never had a relationship to 11:11 until I somehow made a negative association with it. I had always read about the angel and twin soul connection, but never identified with it.

At some point, I started to notice seeing 11:11 right before I got bad news of some sort or I would see it and then later that day would experience a difficult situation with another person (almost always a significant other).

Ever since then it's kind of been a signifier that I'm going to experience a big disappointment or a big emotional challenge on that day (since I normally see the AM version). Now I've become afraid of it.

I'm doing my best to repair my relationship to it, but if anyone has insight on why that association might be existing, I would love to hear some thoughts.

Thank you for your perspective. I can definitely relate to the first paragraph. I certainly do not like surprises in these matters and I still remember the first trigger and the circumstances that surrounded it. It came at a time when life felt very uncertain and perhaps I was desperately wanting to know the outcome of certain things before they happened, but also I was regularly doubting that good things were coming for me. Seeing 11:11 just felt like a confirmation of my own belief that I was going to be "unlucky" in a situation, even though with the very first situation, it was lucky that I did not succeed in that endeavor.

So now that I've said all of that, combining it with yours and Randall's perspectives, I could say that perhaps for me 11:11 is a signal of a fortunate outcome in a seemingly unfortunate situation (the unfortunate part being a real experience, but temporary and small in the grand scheme of things).

Another thing that happens to many is we forget dates that might have once been involving traumatic events that we choose to forget, yet something within us has that cord attached, the lesson might need remember or resolved. For instance, 11/11 is a date. example (using important but not tragic one) Maybe someone had a favorite classmate leave school at a tender age leaving them behind. As a child they mourned that loss a long time but with life moved on. This like a scab from a fall that heals so many years later, is often forgotten. The body and subconscious mind never forget. Maybe this could be a date relating to something for you long ago. Unless the first paragraph fits better.

What I’m getting out of all of this is that for me 11:11 represents a coming inner struggle for me regarding a person or a situation.
It could be telling me to let go of the person or situation and move on. Sometimes it could be telling me to let go of my worry around the situation, especially if it’s something I can’t walk away from. Like, whatever it is, it’s not worth crying about. If I keep trying to fight for it, it won’t be worth it in the end.
