Cappy Asc, eh?? :-D
I appreciate the kudos, Geo, but it was just a lucky guess ;-))
Part of it was the “haunted” look in Pattie’s photos, even when she’s smiling. You brought up her abandonment issues and I just put 2 and 2 together. My son has Moon in XII, and I have several friends with Moon in XII, and I get the same fleeting “haunted” feeling when I look at them (or their photos) sometimes…..
I was also thinking Virgo Asc with those eyes – I’ve found Virgo people to possess some of the most gorgeous eyes of the zodiac….. I know you had mentioned thinking Pisces DSC for her hubbses, which would put a good number of their personal planets in her 3rd quadrant…..

Would you like to see my boy’s chart?? I think he’s going to be very special, if I can help him learn to channel all that Aries energy without killing him first!!!! I bet I could use a few tips from your mom….. :-D

Will you edit in Pattie’s new chart when you get it rectified to your satisfaction?? And would you be amenable to sharing a few hints (or processes) for how you rectify back using a date, say her marriage or divorce dates??

Ahhh, so I’m guessing the Solar Arcs guru might be Noel Tyl?? ;-))
I almost hope not….. as….. I *have* “Astrology’s Most Successful Predictive System” on my bookshelf, but I’m afraid of it
I always pick it up because I’m excited to learn new things, but then I put it down again because I don’t believe that I have a firm enough foundation in the basics and I don’t want to lose myself, get confused and have to go backwards to pick up what I should have learned before. Geo, that Fishean Moon of mine is both an amazing, indispensable help and a huge disadvantage. I learn things by osmosis, then can’t explain how I got my answers. I pick up “vibes” about a chart (for want of a better word), but I have a lot of difficulty bringing those thought-feelings down into astrological terminology (Saturn in III – it may be exalted, but sometimes I just cannot connect the thought with the means to express it, ie tongue or keyboard)…..

I “grew up” on Noel Tyl – when I do something I go whole-hog, straight into the deep end – so my first astrology book purchase was his 12-volume set “The Principles & Practice of Astrology” (got it when you were just 7 years old :-D ),

Is there anyone you’re fascinated by that we could study after we suss the celebrities above??

Two more work days then a 4-day weekend for me, woo-hoo!!! What area of employment are you aiming for after the 9th?? An Arien with a possible Pisces MC (no I take that back, I think mayhap Aqua/Leo MC/IC), I’m curious how that would translate into the public eye, into the Geo career ;-))
The Aqua + Astrology fits ;-))

I’ve basically taken the low road with my Taurus MC….. as there is no one but me supporting me and my kid, I have to have something steady (security). I would love to do some of my beadwork as a moonlighting thing (Taurus again, love of beautiful high-quality long-lasting always-appreciating possessions, like the semi-precious stones I work with) but I’m shackled by the fear of losing my financial security (day job) if I should start concentrating on my creative small business…..

Anne Ortelee has been writing for months about the dark days ahead, not a good time to invest oneself 110% in producing and attempting to market non-essential goods –
Mundane: More volatile stock market. Expect major collapses over seas as Saturn moves forward to join with Neptune in the USA chart. Those collapses will come around to destroy or destabilize our currency mid-November as Saturn dives into the South Node of the Federal Reserve bank. Traditionally an extreme loss aspect, Saturn joining that South node is accompanied by a number of changes in how things are done by and at the Federal Reserve.
~ 10/27/08

Mundane: Oh twists and turns of fate are all over the place this week! Watch for major seismic events ~ yes earth quakes as well as earth changes this week. Governments collapsing. Leaders stepping down or being forced out or removed from power or killed. Banks failing. Stock markets crashing. Corporations laying off people and filing for bankruptcy. Hedge funds unwinding. Gold skyrocketing ~ the coins not the stuff in the earth. Currencies destabilizing. All this stuff is going on to help us focus on what is important to us. What is important to you? Can you DO anything about what is going on? Nope. You can focus on what you CAN do something about. That is what we have. That and love. Focus on love.
~ 11/24/08

Dark financial times, not conducive to selling pretty baubles of personal adornment….. so I’ll postpone that creative Taurean facet of my career in favor of the facet that keeps me steadily, gainfully employed. However, tPluto just crossed into my 5th house (cusp 29Sag33)!! I’ve a feeling I may get a “push” from somewhere to use my newly-acquired Dreamweaver skills and get my website set up

Progress update: Found me a delightful Cinderella Grand Trine, on a day when Gemini was rising and the Moon squared Saturn, but am having trouble spying that slippery Golden Flying Eagle!!

I'm about to fall asleep but I just wanted to tell you that Noel has been telling people for years now to put down those 12 Volumes of his. It's all been streamlined and well organized into his book "Synthesis & Counseling: The Professional Manual"

But I'll tell you another thing you need to hear. His "Solar Arcs" book is very simply layed out and easy to follow.

When I read I sometimes skip introductions and prologues and what feels like long winded philosophical first and second chapters. I go straight for the skill formulas. I have to. I have a Mercury-Saturn conjunction and even though it's supposed to be organized thought and communication and blah, blah, blah, it makes me read very slowly sometimes and sometimes it won't let me read at all. Sometimes Saturn just says "NOPE!" And I couldn't read my own name if it was in front of me. I was one of those kids in high school who had tons of homework and had no idea how it would get done. I never understood how people could read a book in one or two days and do that on a regular basis.

I have awesome handwriting and I'm always complimented on it, but people don't realize that I write slowly so I can read my own writing, but when it comes to taking notes-I never understood how people could do it and go home and read the notes. I always only had half chunks of notes. I thought it was insane to take notes on anything because I concentrated on writing neatly more than taking down the information quickly.

Yeah, yeah, my sob sad story LOOOOL!!! I'm just glad I figured it out a few years ago and have accepted that it's my own personal process.

Anyway, what was I saying? Oh yeah, don't be afraid of the size of the book. It's printed in what I think is 6th grade level lettering size so it is a fast read, even for me and very understandable.

I have an opinion...I think you are perfectly capable of doing the work in his books, you have a firm grasp on the basics, I've seen you in action, young lady (shaking my finger at you LOL!!)

I say that because, once you have a firm grasp and you start organizing your work the way he recommends it, IT'S SOOOO POWERFUL that you scare yourself. It happened to me. It's too the point where I don't do children's charts unless it's medical emergency, and I don't like to look at my relatives charts for the same reason.

Here's my Aries ego. If I look at my parents' charts and my brother's chart, I can see what's going to happen in my life and I don't alway like what I see. So I don't look much.

But I was very glad that I was good at this when my beloved uncle was crossing over. I knew I had to rush out of town to see him because he was in the hospital and I saw that the night before I left, there was an eclipse exactly on his Mars/Saturn midpoint.

And I was correct that he used it has an exit energy. He had a respiratory event that night (he was already in hospice) and he crossed over later that day. I got to see him all day and he crossing was comfortable and peaceful.

I highly recommend Noel Tyl. When you learn your facts from his books, you can be the ultimate in confident. I have a feeling you know that already. But, one day at a time, go at your own pace.

And remember "The Secret" and all the other visualization rules. I think we're the ones who have to remember that we create our own reality. We create our own financial reality. Don't use this Recession/Depression to put off your creativity one more day. You never know, what if we all begin bartering instead of using money. The world hungers as much for beauty as it does for food. And people will always find a way to adorn themselves, why shouldn't it be with your beads?

Thanks for your support, gentle shove in the right direction re neglected creativity, and guiding "hand" re study-matter, Ms Geo
I hope you didn't wake up this morning with your head still in contact with your desk.....

I'll be back later, just dropping in this little sample of what type of humor makes me chuckle (and dates me, too)

That is an excellent piece of philosophy. It makes me wonder why I didn't think of it. But then, I have no Sagittarius in my chart, I only think I do because of the Cinderella Grand Trine.

You know, if I'm such a Cinderella, why was I laid off??? That's one to ponder. Actually, not really. I'm lucky that I didn't have an evil step mother and 2 spoiled step sisters and I didn't have to wash and clean the whole house and clean the fire place and all that.

Maybe I'll have luck looking for a chimney sweep job.

I'm curious of what date you came up with that had the Grand Trine and the Saturn square Moon with Gemini Rising. What date is it? You're probably super close.

I'm about to headdesk again, but I did some testing of Pattie's chart with Solar Arcs and transits. The month her mother remarried in 1953 shows up as:

Solar Arc MC/IC Axis=Jupiter by square.

It translates as - success, professional gains; internationalism; legalism. And since it involves the IC which represents the mother and early home life, I’m thinking it was a happy event for her mother or, if it wasn’t happy, at least it was a legal change which soon brought on a geographic relocation internationally. It’s a major hit with an angle so I’ll count it as confirming the chart is timed correctly along with other measurements.

It's the only angle hit I've come up with so far. Actually, there are several more but my fingers are going to fall asleep any second now. I'll post them tomorrow.

Uh oh, my fingers are sleeping now.

John Travolta's 16 year old son, Jett, died in the Bahamas from a seizure either today or yesterday or within the last few days. He had a history of having seizures in his medical past.

This event shows up in John Travolta's chart through Solar Arcs and Transits.

John Travolta's Solar Arcs for today:

And here is John Travolta's Transits for Today:

The indicators in John Travolta’s chart appear to be:

Under the main Solar Arc of Pluto=Uranus – Uranus rules his 8th House of Death, Taxes, sexuality, etc. The placement of Uranus in Cancer brings in the theme of women and children and Uranus is an electrically nervous planet suggesting the seizures as a part of the problem.

Transiting Neptune is opposite his natal Pluto suggesting tension involving illness and/or spirituality themes. Probably both.

I'm sure there is more but I just needed to see the immediate big bells that caught my eye. Some of these measurements are not yet within the same degree, but they are close enough to make a difference and as they get stronger they may be suggesting the strength of the grief process.

I'm still not completely clear about this but I noticed that transiting Jupiter is conjunct his 7th House Cusp or the Descendant in Capricorn. I usually think of reward when thinking of Jupiter but this time I think it is expanding themes of death, religion, and hard work, I really don't know. The story just broke.

This has made me sad, I'm a big fan of John Travolta and his family is in my prayers.

Thank you, Blue Moon. I saw a slightly different version of this pose, also, at Yahoo I think. It's a beautiful photo, you can see love in their eyes.

I love it as an image, it says all that needs to be said (aside from the astrology).

I notice Solar Arc Mars is on Descendant. Ruler of the M.C, co-ruler of the 5th if you think that counts. As if it isn't painful enough, there is the unnecessary media speculation. His religion has already been mentioned in the gutter press. Most people have more decency, but there will inevitably some who don't - I'm thinking on what you said about belief and religion. I think Mars might tie in.

Oh definitely, you hit the nail on the head. After I posted those charts and mentioned the Jupiter transit at the DSC, I read another experienced astrologer tell that it was transiting Jupiter that suggests the trigger. How strange.

I'm of the opinion with religion that, whatever gets you through the night is alright with me as long as you don't hurt anyone. God is everywhere and in every religion whether we want to believe that or not. God is a complicated dude!

I was just watching the news and they showed several more photos from this photo session. In one of the photos, Jett is holding his father's head in his arms and kissing the top of his head, almost like HE was the father and John was the son. You couldn't see Johns face, it was that intimate and beautiful.

I need more time but I was looking at John Travolta's chart and I was trying to see a pattern for him with death experiences. In March of 1977 his girlfriend died of breast cancer. I haven't really had the time to investigate and I might just drop it. Not a pleasant subject and why am I so concerned. I thought it would be for my own education, but it's not really necessary.

I also think I jumped the gun a little with the:

SA Pluto=Uranus. It's really a year too early. If it was a few minutes closer I might count it, but it really is a little too early. Hmm...I don't know, it fits the situation and it is true that if the shoe fits, you might want to wear it. It's only a few short minutes from being 60 minutes away.

Now I'm just babbling.

Hello Geo. I have to admit I'm slightly in awe of you. No surprises to me that there's an eagle thingummy in your Magi chart. None at all. You have something special about you which includes one of the finest minds in Lindaland, peppered with a bit of magic about your readings which (in my opinion) is a gift and can't be learned. You have it or you don't have it.

You have it. Yay for the rest of us.

WheelsOfCheese,

You've got me fighting back tears right now. I'm sitting here 3 days away from leaving a job of 4 years because my position is being dissolved and I've got mixed feelings about IT and whether I can find another position somewhere and not sure of my skill levels and all of that and I sneak in here to take a peak and see that you have said the most wonderful things about me and especially my mind and it's just what I needed to hear to move on with my day and the rest of the week, Friday being my last day.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

{{{{{BIG SQUEEZY HUG!!}}}}}

The kind of hug your Mom gives you when you can't breath for 5 seconds.

And I like your title better "Eagle Thingummy"

Oh you are so welcome! You are a special person, I can't say it clearer than that. I have boundless faith in your abilities. I'm sorry to hear about your job but I am SURE that whatever you turn that mind to next you will succeed. And the Universe hands us challenging stuff to deal with for a reason. Grab it! You will be fine. Big hug back at you Geo.

**EDIT**

I've decided it's too soon to do his chart right now. I'm in the middle of the book and I put myself under too much pressure by putting it here right now. LOOOOL!!! Maybe a little later.

Never pro, but I started when I was in my early teens.

Did you get certified? Or how does that work? I went to a professional astrologer once, she was obviously self taught and not a very good teacher lol! All she did was read the planets through signs and houses. Didn't bother with aspects, and was obviously a newbie.

I read somewhere you studied under a famous astrologer. Because you wanted to, or part of becoming trained?

There is no official certification in this country and I can't say I'm sorry about that. Everyone owns the stars just as everyone who owns a stack of Tarot cards has their own interpretation.

I don't want to get all political about it, but I'm not certified and don't wish to be.

Astrology is still illegal in certain states in this country, isn't that unbelievable? Maybe not considering the experience you just mentioned. I've had the experience of going to an astrologer who was certified and she did nothing for me.

I am mostly self taught with a lot of help from a very good friend who was also very excited about astrology and she sort of dragged me into it, but she was very deep into the fatalistic stuff and I can't go there. I studied with Noel Tyl for a short time, but I know all of his books inside and out. That's the extent of it.
