LOL to your pooch! Thats priceless.
You know I've never noticed the fang placement on the Lost Boys! I can't believe I didn't, I am soooo picky about these things...will have to watch again.

You have to watch the original Bela Dracula, you just have to, do it for me please, you will never feel the same again about Dracula movies, I promise.

People hate Coppola's Dracula????? pshht. No accounting for taste, that is a gorgeous version.

I also like the one, and the name escapes me at the moment, no wait, I think it is maybe Dracula 2000? It is set in New Orleans, well in part. ANY movie set in New Orleans has my undivided attention, I am sooo drawn to that place.

I love American Werewolf in London, and even American Werewolf in Paris. Good flicks and (for the first one, some ground breaking effects with the morphing) My son thinks it looks cheesy, but he's only been around for 13 years, so, anything older than that is cheesy to him.

I don't care for slasher flicks. I did when I was younger, but they're just too predictable. The random violence bugs me, and how each victim dies differently. Most killers have an M.O. in real life, so seems a bit silly.

I think besides the D man, I like scary movies with religious overtones. Those really get me. The Omen, Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, Stigmata, The Prophecy, Constantine. I'm very interested in the theme of Good vs. Evil, and Angels and Devils.

Also I love movies about voodoo/hoodoo. Angel Heart with Mickey Rourke is just awesome. I like Skeleton Key with Kate Hudson. The Serpent and The Rainbow is a classic. But that takes me back to the New Orleans obsession.

I'm not much into zombie movies, although I do own all the 'Dawn of The Dead' type ones.
When I was a kid they showed me 'Night of The Living Dead' scared the beejesus outta me. I mean zombies, they're just so relentless!

Probably in my top faves of scaries is 'Candyman.' I have all three movies on dvd and vhs (just in case somethin breaks)
There is just something about him. He's all mesmeriz-y and stuff, kinda like the D man. I like that theme.
Well, any time you want to chat horror style, you know where to come!

I haven't even scratched the surface!

ARGGGGG!

Are there really humans on the other end of the phone at the insurance companies? I think it is just an office with carpet and one phone sitting on a crate or something. Just randomly ringing and ringing for eternity.
So now that my arm is throbbing ridiculously, I am a grumpy girl.
I was supposed to go to a bonfire tonight, but I don't want to be around a bunch of people drinking Yager-bombs and slurring their words, telling each other how much they love one another. ugg. I feel cynical.
So, since LL was closed yesterday, I spent some significant time on myspace, watching videos of The Black Crowes.
I have a weird sort of obsession with Chris Robinson, so last night we had a date, it went like this......

We are in Chris' bedroom (I know that sounds like the END of the date, but I always do stuff Bass Ackwards.) and we are sipping something in fluted glasses. I would daresay champagne, but Chris and I are both Sagittarius' so I highly doubt it.

The Conversation:

Me- So what are you wearing?
Chris- I don't know why?
Me- Well, are you wearing the top hat?
Chris- which one, the plain one, or the velvet one with the daisy on it?
Me- the plain one
Chris- No, you can wear it if you want.
Me- cool, how about the white shirt?
Chris- which one?
Me- The long one with the long frilly sleeves
Chris- The white one??? (he doesnt listen)
Me- yeah
Chris- You can wear it, but you better not drag the sleeves through a puddle of cherry bomb or something and stain it. It cost the record company $500 for that shirt!
Me- (examining shirt) umm, it looks like you alread drug the sleeves through a cherry bomb
Chris- no, that was when I passed out in puke, the cleaners couldn't get it out, what? Now you don't wanna wear it?
Me- Course I do!

We put on each others eyeliner, and set off on foot.

Chris gets mobbed halfway down the street, at which point he decided to whip out his soap box, and begin lecturing on the legalization of marijuana. I don't smoke marijuana, but I really want to hang out with Chris, so I try to be patient. I take some photos to amuse myself during the lecture.
Chris' mood suddenly changes and he tells everyone to go away, he doesn't feel like signing any autographs or having any photos taken. Some people flip him the bird, and I have to stop him from getting into a fist fight.
We slip around the corner and find an out of the way bluesy club, with a nice dark atmosphere, and an extensive wine list.
Chris insists we try all of them.
It's his dime, so I don't argue.

The band is kinda sucky, so Chris jumps in as a guest player, and turns the joint (oops, no pun intended) A Jumpin.
I don't mind being left at the table.
I still have my camera, and take some great photos, plus I have my journal, in which I am scribbling all my thoughts about the evening into, with Chris' eyeliner, since I forgot my pen.

The restaurant closes, and we hoof it back to Chris' house.
We talk until dawn, and then pass out in our frilly shirts, matching top hats and now smeared eyeliner.

Yeah, I have WAAAAY too much time on my hands.

There is always time for a fantasy or flashback GW...The time it takes to type it up, that is a different story, LOL, believe me, I know!

This really tells me a lot about who you are though and it is pretty awesome! Sags are always so cool, they turn everything into a good time. Even a puke stain was a result of a good time, lol. I can picture the shirt you are talking about because I can see him wearing it in one (or two) of his videos. Your dream date gives me an idea...

Yay! Another horror lover! I LOVE Candyman! I made the Scorpio watch it and he wasn't impressed , he was more into stuff like Saw and Hostel, which I like too but you can't compare it to Candyman, The Serpent and the Rainbow or the original Dawn of the Dead. Well, maybe the first Saw but, even though I love Eli Roth (a.k.a. "The Bear Jew"), Hostel was okay. It was a unique premise but it was "meh". Cabin Fever on the other hand was awesome!

Question though: Do any horror flicks scare you? I am not scared of the slasher or hoodoo flicks but for some reason 30 Days of Night had me scared to move, go to the bathroom. Goodness, just typing that got me a little scared. I saw it in the daytime! At home! But it was still scary to me. I think it was the guttural language they used and the eyes...yikes. Great, now I keep turning around to look behind me as I type...LOL

LoL, Scorpio men are so hard to impress with anything!!! I swear the more you like it, the more they tell themselves they won't like it, and then they talk themselves into not liking it, so they have something to argue about with you. I swear this happens, whether it is subconcsious or not, it really happens!
Hard to impress a Scorpio dude with anything! They are so 'been there, done that' sometimes it is soo frustrating.
My son ALREADY has that 'too cool for the room' little scorpio tude! AwW, too funny.

The scorpio I hang out with would never , ever, I mean NEVER watch Candyman, I can tell you that without even asking him. He would say no just by looking at the box. lol.
His favorite scary movie is Cabin Fever, so I found it humorous that you mentioned it.

We were doing the flea market a month or so ago, and I had a big box of VHS movies (sometimes you just gotta purge!) and Cabin Fever was in it when I packed it to leave, then it was gone when I packed the box to come home, and I never sold it. I know where it went. Just like a Scorp to swipe your movie and not tell you, huh? I was amused though. I swear he does half the stuff he does for amusement sake, mine or his, that is the question.

What scary movies scare me? hmmm. My taste have changed so much over the years. I find my tolerance for blood and guts and random violence has went way down. Even though I know it is just a movie, sometimes it bothers me. That is why I quit watching slasher flicks, they don't scare me, per se, they just annoy me.
I would have to say the scariest scary movies to me, are the HellRaiser movies.
They both attract and repel me.
The blood, guts and gore combined with the S&M theme is so....disturbing.
Pinhead freaks me out.

Course, they don't make em like they used to (good Lord am I actually old enough to be saying that already) but I would have to say that the only movie I've seen recently that scared me, like you said, looking around and behind you, was; 'The Haunting in Conneticuit.' Yeah, that one is pretty darn scary, and supposedly true.

As far as not being able to tolerate or handle a movie. I had to stop, I mean turn it off...'Wrong Turn 2.' EWWWWW, if you've seen it, you know what I am referring to, it need not be mentioned. Just, yuck, gross and indeed, disturbing.

I had a problem as well with a movie some years back, called, '8MM' with Nicholas Cage? You might remember it. It was about a group of people making "snuff" films, and a girl was murdered on set (in the movie, not real life) that one bugged me. I guess I could see that actually happening, what with people disappearing left and right, or so it would seem. And the weirdos in the world that would pay for and produce something like that for entertainment.
I watched it again a few months ago, to see if it still disturbed me that bad, and it wasn't so bad the second time around, but still, it went it the to-go box, I didn't see any reason to keep it.

Funny, my Fargo DVD is long gone, as well as my favorite Russ Kick (conspiracy theorist) book <shakes fist> Damn you Scorpio! LOL, yeah, they have a stealing thing I guess…

I have not seen Wrong Turn 2, guess I’ll have to check it out. On Friday I am having a double feature day, first I am seeing Sorority Row and then I’m seeing Jennifer’s Body. But I also plan on seeing Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs next week, preferably in an Imax theater. I know, I am a nerd and proud!

I agree, it is usually the real life violence that is truly disturbing. Now that I think about it, I would rather watch 30 Days of Night than a true crime show like American Justice (even though I end up watching it often)…

OOOOO, don't have the cash for movies atm, saving my duckets for my first annual pumpkin carving party.

Let me know, I want to know so bad, about Jennifers Body and Sorority Row.

Watched an interesting flick from the library today, I think it was called, 'Blueberries' or 'Blueberry Pie' with Jude Law. Seemed like an indie flick, I quite liked it. Sort of a romance, finding yourself, redemption film with the odd mishmash of characters along the way, you know, just like real life!

It has been a terrible week, truly awful. Nothing major, no deaths or anything but just, exhaustion, misunderstandings, confusion, that sort of thing....and lots of crying, seems like everyone is crying these days just of of the blue.
My car stopped in traffic, I don't know what is wrong with it, don't ever buy a Jeep, they're great if your the four wheeling type, but it is never ending maintence, and mechanics scratching their heads in confusion.
I told my scorp friend to hit the bricks again. He is never there for me, only when it is convenient for him. Now I get to stare at my phone not ringing. Yay.
It is raining in Ohio, and Im wondering if I would feel too guilty to just go to bed at noon.

So when I told the Scorpio to hit the bricks, I said it in a text message. Yesterday he texts me like nothing ever happened and I was like ???? I mean this was a scathing text message! I looked at my phone in the sent message section, and it wasn't there, it was in drafts! He never got it! LMAO! We have the worst, I mean worst, issues with communication!! Sometimes I wish texting was never invented, I mean if you had to really think about something before you said it, and actually go to the persons house and say it, half the things you thought you wanted to say, you probably wouldn't! ahhhhh.
I guess, I wasn't meant to send that message. But I didn't reply back to the yesterday message, so now starts the game of chase and recapture. ewwww.

ABC; your welcome, I'm here to help anytime you need to vent or just talk....

My ex neighbor passed away this evening. I just wanted to vent without poisoning everyone elses good thoughts on the other boards.

She was my neighbor for 7 years, during the time my children were very little. She treated them like a Grandmom, which they needed, as my Mother isn't the grandmotherly type and the other grandma lived in a state far away.

Her son was a herion addict and in and out of prison. She eventually took his daughter to raise, because this last offense put him in for many years. The granddaughter became like family to me, and I took her with me on vacations and outings, as she was close in age to my daughter. Sara (not real name) ended up getting pregnant at 15 years old, and my neighbor took care of that child as well.

By then her husband was wheel chair bound from a sucession of strokes.
Now she is gone and the husband is alone, the baby is alone and I am so concerned what will happen to all of them. I know I can't fix everything, but I sure would like to.

So, RIP, Mary Smith, you were loved more than you know, and more then I ever told you, and you will never be forgotten.

Random/ my hot water heater went out tonight. Yeah, to a sink full of dirty dishes and a Gypsee that needs a shower, but hates cold ones.
Both kids ended up home from school sick. One stayed home, and the other I had to pick up during the day, at which time my car died in traffic again, and my check engine light is on, but I have no idea why.

If any of you have extra prayers, send them to Ohio, don't waste them on me, I'll be fine, but please pray for the family of my deceased neighbor.

Thank You so much.

Sounds like a case of retrograde Mercury!

Jennifer's Body was okay - it was like Juno + Ginger Snaps, pretty much what I expected.

I am so sorry to hear about your neighbor, sounds like she had a big heart..

Thank you for the heads up DTM, what about Sorority Row?

AWWW, wheels bless you heart. Mary was a wonderful soul. The viewing is tomorrow at 2pm. Out comes the black suit again. One of you guys has got to help me figure out transits and such, because I don't feel it is normal to know 11 people that die in, what, now 16 months! And I need to know it will stop soon!

Listen at me ranting, telling people to stop dying just cause selfish me wants them here!! *shakes head*

And in another thrilling excerpt in the life of GW and friend/sco, I had a case of the b!tchies last night, when I saw an advertisement for the BIG oktoberfest coming up, it is at The Dayton Art Institute, and it is the coolest thing ever. So I decided to text him and tell him not to be asking me to go to that, since he wouldn't go with me to the one last weekend (okay nose, here is where the huge blade comes to slice you clean off cause we are so pi$$ed off at face) anyway, I texted that, and promptly ran out of phone minutes. So MY text went through and he tried to respond, like 7 times, but those wouldn't go through because I was out of minutes and no way was I going to the gas station in this neighborhood at midnight to get more, just to argue with his silly butt.
So guess who will probably be trolling forums all day, on saturday? Yep, that would be me.
I'm really starting to think alot of this is my fault, maybe I am a beotch.

Help, I am being held hostage in facebook by a chatty Libra.
I snuck out to type this.
I think he fell asleep, so we must use our indoor voices. lol.

Seriously, though, how long can a human being go without sleep?
See thats why I haven't been saying anything, because I'm not making sense and my fingertips have gone numb.
I'll just read you-alls stuff and be entertained for awhile.
That and dig up old threads about Libra men.
