ohhhhhh Yeah, I would be mad too, or upset, disappointed, whatever word, if I lined up ALL day, for a one and a half hour show, and on top of that, didn't even get to hear the songs I wanted. I don't know if you said or not, but was the concert indoors or outside???OMG, it is so HOT here today, I mean the humidity is just awful. I think I'm gonna lay down for a while in front of the fan. My kids are away on vacation, so I can get away with that nonsense! Plus I worked two shifts for a friend, back to back, no sleep. I"m tired. I will look for you later D!!!!! IP: Logged |

I love the song Don't Look Back In Anger. There's a number of good lines in there, but my favorite is, "Take that look from off your face, cos you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out."IP: Logged |

I always thought it would be interesting to see Oasis live because I heard they fight with each other during the show. Which would be a show within a show. That's the same reason I always wanted to see Guns N Roses, to watch Axl have a hissy fit. But I watched them live on youtube and they (guns N Roses) don't seem very good live. Def Leppard sucked live (IMHO) and so do The Chilli Peppers. Kid Rock is the best live show I have ever seen. And Styx too. I didn't even like Styx before (does Styx need two x's?) any way they were playing in a show that had several other bands, so I went. I ended up a Styx fan after that, they were excellent live. Just my two cents for today.IP: Logged |

"Yikes!" is all I have to say to most of that post. I respect GNR, but I wouldn't be interested in seeing them live or on YouTube. Def Leppard is one of the bands I loathe the most. I'd imagine the Chili Peppers to be good live. Kid Rock I'd give to any other sign who'd have him. He doesn't do us Capricorns proud. I can understand you liking Styx's live show. They are quite professional. I saw them in Tahoe, because my roommate had gotten free tickets. I'd not have seen them otherwise. I didn't come away as a fan of Styx, though. IP: Logged |

Well, see, AG, your a musician. And having lived with musicians all my life, I understand that you see things differently. For example, my ex-husband was a rush fan. A huge rush fan. He played in a rush tribute band. I hated it. We had enless debates on the subject, as he patiently, or sometimes not so patiently explained to me the talent it takes to play this progression, for your fingers to stretch this far on the frets, etc, etc, I am just a fan, and don't really put much thought into that. I'm not a huge Def Lepard fan or anything, a friend bought the tickets and so, since it was free, and I wasn't busy, I went along. Kid Rock, well, in my experience you either love him or you hate him. I'm not real crazy about the commercial feel of this latest album, and when someone "turns" country, I usually turn it off...but I guess I just like his style. Musically, I would have to say that if I could singularily drag back the grunge era, I would. Since I am not a musician, the most, most, most important thing (bearing in mind this does not apply to dance songs) to me is lyrics. That is why I love Pearl Jam, STP, and Dave Mathews, to name a few. Some stuff you feel in the heart and some stuff you feel a little farther south. But I certainly respect your opinion. And encourage you to share more, if you like.IP: Logged |

Rush is soul-less. Can't stand them either.Kid Rock is way too white trashy for us Capricorns. At least that's my opinion. Country music, for him, is him becoming sophisticated. It is encouraging that two other singers you named are Capricorns. Eddie Vedder and Dave Matthews are infinitely more acceptable than Kid Rock. I don't remember Scott Weiland's sign (He's a Scorp. I just looked it up.). I'm pretty big on lyrics, too, but I mostly like a different style of music from you. My current favorite is Guy Garvey from Elbow. Excellent writer. IP: Logged |
