Aww, back to school was always so much fun, with new clothes and school supplies...until you got there and had to do actual work!I hope everything goes well in the new school. Has your daughter made friends with neighborhood kids? That might help make it easier...I went to four different elementary schools, I remember how it was to be new. Ahh, the good old days... So I was thinking... you should either glue tacks facing outwards onto the face of your door, or otherwise drive nails through the back of the door to the front of the door to discourage people from inviting themselves over. I think they'd get the message pretty fast.IP: Logged |

Thanks, DTM. Actually no, they haven't really made any friends in the neighborhood. My neighborhood is not very safe. I won't let them play outside, unless it is in the backyard. Across the street and down one house is a drug house. The police are there 2 or 3 times a week. It is terrible. I'm on the corner, so across the cross (?) street sitting side by side are a umm, house of ill repute and a mans boarding house, (ironic isn't it) but the mens home is for people just coming out of jail and rehab and stuff, and it just isn't an ideal area for children. On an up note, they did make friends the first day. My son (the mini-scorp) came home with 4 girls phone numbers (he's 13) and was quite pleased with himself. My daughter has already been invited to a b-day party, so things seem okay. AG- There is nothing in this world I can do to get people to leave me alone. I just accept it. And you know, I am not even gracious about it so why they keep coming is beyond me!!! I have answered the door with a friendly, "WHAT NOW!" and nothing. I think it needs further scientific investigation......cause that is just weird! IP: Logged |

Well, thank you for asking by the way, and thank you, DTM for the baloons. My temp is 100.7. My normal temp is low around 97 point something mid-range. So I feel sorta strange. Having some interesting fever dreams I can't wait to post when I can see straight. I just told my son a yellow rabbit was running across the lawn. I meant to say white. And then I started to wonder if it was there at all!!!! He felt so sorry for me, he steered me into my bedroom and let me use the laptop he was borrowing, hence this post. so any wierd stuff I said, I cannot be accountable! My doctors office called today to tell me that they were trying to schedule me with the arm dude, his name is Dr, Erb, for some reason I think thats funny. Anyway, my insurance wont agree to the prior auth. My doctor got on the phone with them and explained that this was a needed procedure not just any ole test, but insurance co are insurance co so, I don't know now what to do. I suppose I could lift a bunch of weights to make the veins all bulgy and yucky and then go to the emergency room with my family doctors notes, then they wouuld have to see me and do something about it. I am weighing the risk of that against bursting the potential clot. I notice with the fever it is really sticking out. So something vascular going on... anyway, I better go before I see any more real or imagined rabbits!!! I have a DVD that plays like 12 hours of continous black and white Dracula movies. It is raining and I can't think of a better way to spend the evening. Well, I CAN but my body says, no, no, you just stay right there, little lady. Hope your better AG- and that you find your long lost pen brand. Now you know how a woman feels when they suddenly stop making your lipstick shade! It is so unfair. IP: Logged |

ZALA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Those are just exquisite!!!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to do that for me, I know your busy. Now I have something to look at!!! Each one is so unique. I will have to go back and look, but so far my favorite is the one with the boob out. lol. Not sure why. I like the one where the arrow on her back tattoo is pointing to her head as well. I get accused of thinking too much, although you probably can't tell by the way I express myself, that I think at all! s'okay! But Bless You for that, your a dear!!!! Starkiss; my kids ride the bus, which stops right at the corner, so no worries. My jeep is finally fixed! Save for one month, I have went 2 years without my own vehicle. I have acess to some vehicles, but that always comes with a price. And I need my freedom like a fish needs water so its been hard on me. I feel like trapped rat!! I tell you a sag will have freedom at any cost!!! If I can't drive I will walk! And I can walk very, very far. This is not a problem. If I can't leave my house, I leave my head. One word: IPOD, the best invention ever!!!!!! And even if that is denied me, I can just sit there blending in with the couch and be a thousand light years away. People speak to me, and I do not hear them. They wave their arms about, and I'm like HUH? Thats probably why we sag's get the rep for being somewhat flaky. Truth is we're always thinking. Very unusual things...
So starkiss, how have you been? Are you enjoying your time on LL? There are some awesome people here... IP: Logged |

I have plans, darn it! I'm going to two parties, I even have a DD! well, no sense in griping, I'm off to get some ice cream (I hate ice cream) to soothe my throat and back to my black and white Dracula movies, which soothe me to sleep! Nite all, and sweet dreams................ IP: Logged |

Ah,GW, you will sure understand this:Deep blue going into deep green clear sea pierced by sun rays, surrounded by green mountains and blue sky everywhere, full of colored little fishes, and not a tourist in sight...I did wear my goggles! Lunch in a little restaurant with a total sea and sky and mountains view, freshly grilled octopus with fresh salad (and homemade chips, ok?). Blue and green air and water around me, and love and... What? You think i am full of it, don't you? But that was my birthday, i didn't want a party or typical outing in a typical restaurant, and that was just my ideal birthday. Cap was muttering something about me meeting my friends and how come i didn't want to see anyone, but i didn't, and it was a great day.Gone all sloppy now. How was your mum's day? love and peace xxxxxxxxxxxx IP: Logged |

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHIt only sounds like the best birthday ever! I read it over three times just so I could be right there witcha. I will skip the octopus though, bad memories. And caps are usually muttering about somethin (AG, ignore that statement, this applies to husbands) but it is your bday you should do whatever you wanted. Sounds dreamy, really. I'm so glad for you.... Don't know how my Mom's bday went. I spoke to her for a split second on my daughters phone. But since it was her birthday, that means, uh, how do I put this delicately, it means that happy hour was to come even earlier if you get my drift, so no time. Mom's time in or out of my life is completely dependant upon her husband or boyfriend at the time. Currently she is married to a Gem and he doesn't believe in family closeness. He doesn't even speak to his own child. She isnt allowed to have our pics on the walls because it spoils his decor, he says. So, you know, it is just one of those things you learn to live with. The rest of my family (other than the one I created) lives in either Florida or New Jersey, so now, my friends ARE my family. Fine with me, at least this way, I can pick em! Hope 44 treats you excellent! IP: Logged |

Zala, no problem! lol. You seem to have things under control over there, so now I trust I can leave you to your own devices. I'm sure you can handle any internet stalkers or random weirdos, who, say, just pop in for no reason, <:Thank You Starkiss, I do understand and I AM really happy for your b-day. Mine is in December, and the weather is usually crappy, and its 19 days before xmas, so noone has money. It sorta sucks. Oh well. DTM: You did NOT just engage me in a conversation on Dracula movies, you really didn't did YOU? Holy moley, I could write about this until the cows come home!!!! HMMM, okay, trying to summarize. To begin with, my fave stories of Dracula are 1993 Dracula with Gary Oldman. I cannot watch this movie enough. It is so visually bee-u-tee-ful, it takes my breath away. Gary Oldman is an Excellent actor and very, very good with accents. He just blew me away. God, I wanted Winona Rider to be with him so bad, it was their destiny, and they were cheated! Every time I watch it I hope it ends differently, but it never does. I also love and adore 'Interview With a Vampire.' The only thing that taints this movie for me is Tom Cruise playing Lestat. If you've ever read Anne Rice you would probably agree, he was a terrible choice. And I just don't like the guy for some reason. But still, Brad Pitt as the sensitive and heartsick Louis, *sigh*, again, can watch over and over. Now if you want to talk Classics. Well, I doubt I will ever watch the silent Nosferatu again. I own it for my collection, but I had to write a paper on that movie and I just don't have the patience for the extreme overacting that you have to do in silent films. It seems so forced and contrived and silly to me. Especially in a movie that is so serious. But I do respect it for the groundbreaking peice of work that it was. Now how do I take my Dracula? I take him in the classic Bela Lugosi please. There is just no comparison, IMHO. Bela's life story is so sad, what with him being so typecast, and eventually becoming a parody of himself in the Abott & Costello movies. But he had a great run while it lasted, and I would have let him bite me, any time, any place baby. When Hammer films took over Dracula movies is when the quality becomes questionable, though I still like them. They become almost pornish. More heaving bosoms and less storytelling. And who did we have then, let me think, oh, Christopher Lee, playing Dracula. Um, no. He does not have enough personal charisma to pull it off. Now there have been so many Draculas and Dracula movies. Hollywood never tires of this tale. But, IMHO, the one thing you can NEVER do is have a blonde Dracula. I mean, wtf? Did he fly him in from Norway or something? No, no, no. Dracula must always have black hair and be all suave and count-ish. That is just the law of Dracula. Now it is okay to have a blonde Dracula in a movie like 'Lost Boys' cause it is set in modern times and borderlining on a comedy anyway. So, now that you regret asking, I take my Dracula serious and classic. Thank You very much, class dismissed. BTW, DTM; I think I found you a boyfriend when I was watching youtube. What do you think of Adam Levine, the singer of Maroon 5? He has black hair, and I can tell he is a hairy dude by the 5 o'clock shadow. I think he's perfect for ya. <:

ARE YOU SERIOUS ZALA??? You like Dracula too? I could just squeeze your cheeks and kiss your face!! Dracula lovin' people are special (say special like Dana Carvey does when he is playing 'The Church Lady' on SNL)Course there are alot of late comers with The Twiilight phenomenon. But that's okay, we'll take em and school em. Nobody at home will watch ANY Dracula (besides Twiilight, the girls love it) or discuss Dracula with me, cause Moms eyes glaze over and she goes to her happy place, which they have no patience for. So do you like Bela? My film teacher said it is pronounced, BEE-LAH, sounds even better that way. His son is a doll too. Looks just like him, actually even better. IP: Logged |

Wow! You are the Dracula expert! Oh man, lol, my grandmother loves the Christopher Lee Dracula movies, but you are right they are porn-ish!I love Coppola’s Dracula! I have met so many people that hate it though. I guess that’s how it is, people either love it or hate it strong feelings either way. When I saw B&W Dracula films I automatically thought Nosferatu, but you cleared that up for me! Don’t kill me but, movie buff that I am, I have never seen the Bela Lugosi Dracula <ducks for cover!>. My family talked about it all of the time though. In fact there is a scary looking b&w pic of the dog covered in mud through the sliding glass door that my mom calls “Wooey Lugosi”: I think it looks Nosferatu-esque myself but the pic name stuck. The Lost Boys is actually one of my favorite movies. I do have a minor issue with it though – the placement of the fangs on the lateral incisor as opposed to the canines. LOL! I have seen the fakes with fangs on either one but in The Lost Boys it just looks weird. My favorite vampire movie has to be…Fright Night! Yes, seriously. I thought Chris Sarandon was an awesome vampire, “Welcome to Fright Night – for real”. I can’t forget “Evil” Ed – “You’re so cool Brewster!”. That was the second movie I ever saw in the theater, the first – Cujo! My family likes to traumatize early I guess… Oh yeah, I am a big fan of the horror genre in general from classics to teen slashers, it is all great. I love the werewolf genre – I LOVE An American Werewolf in London, Silver Bullet was amazing and I can’t wait to see “The Wolfman”. I mean, Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins it has to be good! Do you like all horror or are you strictly a vampire girl?
