Hello again...Isn't it awesome to connect with people from way back in way back land? On my FB a good majority of the "friends" on there are people I knew from high school. Kind of funny, one of my favorite people on there now is someone I detested in high school lol. And as for your question up there.. I'm not a man magnet by any means. But I do get along famously with other Virgo's. Never fails, some of my best friends are or were Virgo's. We always just click. I think it's the Cancer in me that makes me so damn emotional. I hate that about me lol. Happy Friday backatcha AG!

Yeah, there's a guy I went to school with, whom I didn't really know back then, but he's constantly entertaining for me. And, then there's a guy, an aries, whom I occasionally clashed with back in the day that I also find quite refreshing. He's just always so honest about whatever he's talking about. He's occasionally clever and funny, which helps. He actually saw my last improv show (I realize I've probably just been redundant, but oh well). My Virgo Navy buddy was super cool. Not at all in an in-your-face kind of way. Understated. He related easily with people. That Virgo/Cancer mix must make for an empathetic sort. Some Virgos are really talkative. He wasn't. He was more on par with most people, or maybe my Mercury-ruled self just recognized him as similar to me. IP: Logged |

I saw a Faith No More concert the other night, it was sooo awesome! Mike Patton is so insane, I love him.... you're probably not so into him, are you AG? He's a bit over-the-top, kind of nutso But OH what a treat it was to see them (they played at the Warfeild) I also heard Tom York was here and he played with Flea the same night. PS - are you really mentioning the Cheesecake Factory? Really? That place is still around?! omg, I HATE it, their food SUCKS! Why are you going there, AG!! Go to that hibachi place where they make the food in front of you. Granted, it's not sushi, but that's gotta be better than near-thai lol. Maybe one day you can try some sashimi I love sushi. I don't mean rolls. I mean the raw stuff. I love it. I think it's something you get into early though most of the time, because I've noticed few people acquiring a taste for it later in life. My siblings and I started eating sushi at a really early age, maybe that's why there's no weird factor for us there maybe? Though my parents starting eating it in the 20s and are crazy about it and go eat sushi once a week. So maybe it just depends on your palate. A lot of people can't dig on the texture of raw stuff and that's usually what keeps them away.

Katatonic, why am I not surprised? I don't think it's just calories either - their food is not exactly fresh, it's processed, so it tastes like it is too. Same with Chili's and TGI Fridays and Applebee's all those other places. The last time I had a meal at one of those places I was really grossed out. I know I am kind of a foodie but I also just have a really sensitive palate and I love to eat, so I get really depressed and down for hours when I have a bad dining experience I was appalled at how they could create something so bland and yet at the same time so unappetizing. I must say, it takes a certain disturbing skill to simultaneously manage to offend the palate and assault the senses. I think what offends me the most is that places like this are in business because they are cheap and just offer large quantities. So they seem like a good deal or something I guess. lol.IP: Logged |

My friends went and saw Faith No More. I think Jen wished that she could have seen Thom as well. I like FNM well enough. They're good musicians. I'm not all that big on concerts, though, so when I learned of it I didn't care a whole lot. Yeah, there's a Cheesecake Factory at the mall by my house. They've really disappointed me the last two times I've been there. The first was that Pad Thai-style pasta dish, which was gross. Last time I tried to play it safe with a blackened chicken sandwich, and they managed to f- that one up as well. I am certain that I like their southwestern eggroll appetizers, and their desserts are good. It's just the entres that suck. There are definitely better places to eat around me. quote: did you know that in a list of 10 highest calorie restaurant meals surveyed recently cheesecake factory had 3 (or was it 4) of the 10 entries?? meals in the thousands of cals....
Nope, but I shouldn't have to worry about that anymore. quote: I was appalled at how they could create something so bland and yet at the same time so unappetizing. I must say, it takes a certain disturbing skill to simultaneously manage to offend the palate and assault the senses.
Well said! (I can hack Chilis and Applebee's, though. Applebee's has been on my sh-t list for ages. I've had so many terrible meals there. That's where we go after improv shows, though, so I just have to deal with it. In my couple years doing improv I've watched their menu change quite dramatically. I take that as a sign that they know their food sucks.) IP: Logged |

" Applebee's has been on my sh-t list for ages." mine too! In fact, that's the place I was thinking about during my rant lol. I remember ordering something really simple like a chicken quesadilla (sp?) and was shocked at how they managed to ruin that. I remember ordering guacamole too and they game me this spotted brownish mush. I was scared to order an ice tea at that point, because i didn't know what they would screw up next LOL!As for the music stuff.... I'm not big on live concerts either... I just got invited and went, and was pleased and kind of surprised at how good it was. I had a really huge crush on crazy Mike Patton when I was a teen. He's got a wonderful voice, and it's still very strong. Plus he's a great front man! I didn't know about Thom York's concert until the next day, when someone told me about it. I would've preferred to go to that if I had a choice though! IP: Logged |

Mike Patton's a good looking guy. Even though their music was more complicated than this cover, I always respected that they did Easy. Maybe because it said in no uncertain terms that they weren't any kind of stereotypical anglo rock band, and that they had depth.IP: Logged |

I agree, they were waaaaay ahead of their time. I think they were one of the main catalysts for the whole alternative rock movement, as in they broke the ground for it, but didn't necessarily go along with it. I remember first hearing them when I was in my early teens, and thinking it was unlike anything I had heard before, just a mad combo I loved. IP: Logged |

It's now 11 days past one of my little sister's birthday, and I just finally got her a gift. Unfortunately, it didn't come in a box either, so I've gotta figure out how to package it for sending. It's one of those non-paper cups. It's fashioned to look like a paper cup, but instead it's really porcelain with a silicone top and sleeve. The kind I got doesn't really try very hard to look like a paper cup. I got one with a pretty detailed stripe scheme in warm colors.IP: Logged |

It's been a fight with imageshack. It's seems i just got two options: post a very large pic or this little one. I can't get a normal size. I find this pic better when is a little larger. If you dubble click on the pic below you can see the bigger size. It surprises me how fossy i'm about my pics. I also bought a dictionary, so i can make my english writing better. Talk about perfectionism...

LOL...no. It's weird that they came out so dark like that, because it was taken in the middle of the day. I let the camera use the flash, and that's what it produced. Of course that doesn't explain the expression. I don't know why I looked like that. I was actually feeling pretty attractive when I took these, but it didn't translate to happy looking pictures. Even though these pictures are dark, they're more complimentary than some others. It looks like I've lost some weight in my face (which I think is the first place weight loss is generally noticable). Because I used the flash, these came out fairly sharp. When the camera's starved for light it leaves the shutter open longer. I like the picture of my roommate's cat. Her pupils are so big you almost have to catch her looking to the side in order to get them to appear black. Straight on they look yellow in pictures (and red eye won't fix that). IP: Logged |

oh, I am done in!My best friends husband has been racing in the Le Mans 24 hour enduro (motorbikes) this weekend. He used to race professionally, but only does it recreationally now. He's getting a bit old for it all and his kids are getting to the age where they understand the dangers. My friend didn't want him to do this race but his parents funded it (they like to live vicariously through him I think). Anyway - he finished and they did reasonably well. But it was 24 hours of 'on-call' for me, with a slightly deranged and very distracted friend. Now, of course, he can't fly back from the South of France - and she is crap at using the internet - so I have spent several hours trying to sort out the various trains and boats he needs to get back. The flight embargo is causing chaos. I have one friend stranded in Dubai, and several work colleagues stranded in Jersey. One has spent all weekend travelling over land and sea to get back. The other waited the weekend to get a flight back tomorrow. But is looks like it could be while yet before they start flying again. My daughter came back on Friday after spending a week with her father. So I have also been trying to juggle on-call friend with being super-mum all weekend. We have had several 'summer sports' tournaments and this afternoon was spent at the beach hunting shells. But, of course, in the true spirit of a confused 8 year old she has been continually testing me and seeing just how far she can push. My saintly patience finally cracked at about 7 this evening! I got a brief half hour to myself in the bath this morning!!! IP: Logged |

Good morning! We're out a person, so today will be a bit rough I'm sure.Last night, the only pro sports team I watch had a tragic loss. It was tied 0 - 0 throughout the regular game, so it went to sudden death overtime where the first team to score wins. My team accidentally scored on itself. That's a tough break. EDIT: Well, now it's quarter to noon, and I'm done. Not as bad as I thought it would be. IP: Logged |

Now I'm at lunch, so you probably won't get any prolific responses ...for the moment. Sorry. For marriage material, I think I'm comfortable with 10 years in either direction. Probably not more than that. Not at this point. For flings, I'll decide on a case-to-case basis. IP: Logged |

Hiya ScorpioI don't know whether you were specifically propositioning AG, but I'll crash anyway! I have discovered rules are useless - so case by case (and depending on the influence of alcohol!). For marriage I think same age and up to 10 years older, but I would push it 5 years either side of that if it felt right. Actually, if it felt right, I don't think there would be a limit?? What about you? IP: Logged |

I'm back from lunch now (short lunch). Yeah, I tend to like older, too. We both came up with basically 20 year spans. Seems like quite a range, but it really isn't. IP: Logged |
