I also saw the Hot Tub Time machine. I think people around my age would appreciate the humor more than those who didn't grow up in the 80's. It had it's moments... wasn't something I'd see again, but it was okay. Matter of fact I would call it a "rental" not something I'd pay theater rates for.And I agree on the piercings and tattoo's. I have a tatoo on my ankle, but don't know if I'd get any more. I like toe rings. I don't know if I'm too old for one of those.... don't wanna be one of those 40 yr olds acting like a teenager lol. But the thumb rings I can see as kinda sexy on a guy. And that's usually one of the first things I look for on a guy before I waste my flirting energy is the ring finger. Men wear rings too, so nobody should assume just because he's wearing a ring that he's attached. There is that ring finger you gotta look for I've just had my share of broken hearts for this year...and it isn't even half over <sighs>. So I'm putting men on the back burner and concentrating on my son more...and me. So AG do you have anything on youtube showing your acting skills? I'd love to see it! IP: Logged |

quote: What is impromptu improv pratice?
Impromptu = hastily planned Improv = Improvisational acting In improv, you might have a structure for a scene, but you make up your part/role as you go. The scenes only last a few minutes each, and they're usually funny. One skit that we do requires lines/sentences from the audience. Before the show we ask the audience to write down lines they'd like us to incorporate into a scene. We have them put the lines into a container. Later, when we do the skit, each performer grabs a handful. Before the scene starts, we'll ask the audience for a location for the scene to take place in, and then the actors will start making up dialogue. Every so often a person off-stage will ask a particular actor to use one of the audience's lines at which time they'll read one of the pieces of paper that the audience wrote a line on, and incorporate that line into the scene. The actor will try to justify the line, so that it makes sense. Sometimes the line already makes sense in a funny kind of way. ________________ I don't have any tattoos either, though I'm more ok with the idea than I used to be. I would just want to ensure that it's something I won't regret. I don't have any piercings either. The only time I did was briefly while in the Navy, but it was too much maintenance without a lot of reward. You couldn't wear them while on duty or while working, so you had to put something in your fresh piercing to keep it open. I wasn't real inclined to bother. Regarding youtube videos of myself in action, I might have something. I'm not sure. I did post some improv stuff I captured a long time ago. IP: Logged |

AG, thanx for your answer. I needed that.My leo mom wasn't feeling very well today. She's got health problems. Which makes her very insecure and nervous at times. A month a go, she wasn't feeling very well and I drove her to the hospital. While I was driving the car, she passed out beside me. It gave me a shock of a lifetime. I thought she was dead. After that she had a medical ckeck-up, buth they didn't find anything. I once kissed a (cappy) boy, who had his tong pierced. For me it wasn't something extra I liked. Besides he was on soft-drugs. He was crazy! Not someone to get involved with, in my opinion. Two of my female collegues got their tong pierced also. It makes them speak with a lisp. Not very flattering. IP: Logged |

Hey!I left 5 days ago, and everyone was fighting.....I come back, and everyone is fighting. What's more they are still fighting about the same thing! I keep getting tempted to throw my 10 penneths worth in (an English phrase?), but it reminds me too much of arguments with my Dad. I learned a long time ago that it's just not worth it, whatever approach you took he would concede no ground. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was fantastic. They had a full sized metal car flying round the stage, and you couldn't see how they were doing it......it was very impressive. IP: Logged |

So, I go to visit my friend last Saturday, who got a job working at a local bar.One thing leads to another, and, of course since I'm dead a s s broke, I asked if they were hiring. She said, "Well, talk to the manager, he's right down there." I get introduced to this man, Lord, he has the bluest eyes I think I've ever seen. Get this, his name is PHOENIX. Really, that is his legal name. Anyway, you know how every once in awhile you meet someone, and know you've known them before? It was like that. (NO, don't go getting carried away, he's my BOSS) So, he says, "yeah, maybe, I think I could use someone for Monday nights." I said, "Great!" He told me he would call me back after he talked to the owner, yada yada yada. So, I worked last night from 5pm until 3am. Then, he had me turn around and come BACK in and open at 6am. sheesh! So, my Monday job has turned into 6 days a week (only because I refused 7!) and two of those 6 are double shifts!! I'm just telling you all this, so you'll know where I've disappeared to, when I disappear!!!! IP: Logged |

You come arcoss as someone who's got lots of energy. Is that true? It's gonna be heavy 6 days a week and with the double shifts... IP: Logged |

LOL, yes, I do, he's a Taurus!I think I'm working on that North Node after all, I've been meeting quite a few Taurus' lately! I'll still be around, just not so much. It is alot of hours, and I'm going to have to take some vitamins or something, because, I tend to not eat, and smoke way too much when I work alot, and then I get sick! Last night we had this blind man with one arm, his name is Dusty, and he's a veteran, anyway, he comes in there and sings, plays harmonica and whatnot, just for tips, every Monday and Thursday. He has a nice following of young guys. It was really heartwarming to see these twenty something years olds, cheering him, and filling his tip jar. It gave me the warm fuzzies. He was such a lovely, sweet old man! I love old men though, they have great stories! I want to be an old man when I grow up, instead of an old woman! IP: Logged |

I'm processing a loan for a person with the first name of Saturnino, and he's NOT a Capricorn. His birthday is three months before mine [not in the same year].IP: Logged |

Hi Hi,Now I'm starting to get really nervous. Friday I'm leaving for Cuba. It's a country with a communistic system. I think it's better to leave my i love Obamah t-shirt at home. AG, how's your play going? Does your accent work now?

LOL... My play is getting close! Last night we were asked to buy our own make-up. That will be something I've never done before. We're doing a free preview of the play this Saturday. My accent is ok, but I still have a little to do on my acting. Trying to get closer to what the director desires. IP: Logged |

Howdeeee AGI appear to have verbal diarrhea this evening. No doubt prompted by the delicious hour long facial I have just had. The girl that does them for me has NEVER tried to sell me anything in the 10 years I have been going to her. This evening she recommended some face cream that she uses herself, so I am inclined to believe that it must be fantastic. The catch? It's £60 and contains snake venom (???). She has given me a sample to see if I like it first. I was tempted to post this in LLC2 just to see the reaction, but a) I don't think I would elicit the type of reaction that some do, b) I don't particularly want to be publicly anihiliated. So I thought I'd share it with you instead. When is the proper performance of your play? I am gonna use my British Airways points and fly in especially for the opening night.....I wish, those days of freedom are gone! Also, all flights grounded again today due to volcanic ash.

Hmmm...I didn't get the notification of your post yet (8 minutes later ).Oh, I don't think anyone would get after you about that. I think you're reading your facialist right. That's interesting. Snake venom makes for good face stuff. Opening night is May 14th at 7:30. I'll get you a ticket. I'm kind of getting excited about it now. There's only one part that I dread. I don't completely lose the lines there, but I do have to think about them more than any of my other lines. IP: Logged |

Wouldn't that just be so cool? I could just turn up and sit in the front-row, do you think you'd know me?I would likely laugh if you forgot your lines, I know that's not nice but it's a nerves thing with me.

I think so. I've seen your picture obviously, and something tells me I'd recognize your accent in even your laugh. Be sure to go into the far section of the front row, because we use the landing next to the stage as well, and that's where I am when I have to think about those lines. It's supposed to be the prison cell under the tavern.IP: Logged |

Soo, there is a homeless guy that lives IN the bar. Did I mention this? Anyway, he is as sweet as the day is long. And, this mornin' there wasn't anyone in there for like an hour or so, and we had coffee, and chatted. So, he said he was going to play the jukebox, which he did, all country. Not surprising since that is very popular where I live. ..But he didn't know I was 'reading' him from his choices. LOL! So, after I listened to a few, I started rambling... You know how I do. And told him what was on his mind. Didn't stir his demeanor a bit! And he said, "Well, I think it's only fair that I put a dollar in the jukebox, and hear what is on YOUR mind." *I thought this was pretty astute, since I never mentioned I was reading him from his song lyrics, lol, and we are talking about someone who LIVES in a bar! Anyway, he said, "I'm a survivor, what can I say?" *My big opening.. I said, "Oh? Are you a Scorpio??" He said, "No, I'm that sign that doesn't get along with anybody!" "What sign is THAT?" I said. He said, "Capricorn." I think I really DID LMAO! Thought of you, AG, and it made me laugh even harder! I don't think you Cap's know how much you are loved in this life, I swear!!! IP: Logged |

Nice story! I love it! Especially that he got you. I don't know that all Capricorns are subtle, but those of us that do...watch out! It's just fun to pick up on stuff people aren't blatantly putting out there. He does sound like a character.IP: Logged |

OMG - can you believe they are still fighting about the same thing over there? Is there some astrological reason for this?Scorpio - have a great time, I am sure you will! No kissing strange men......on second thoughts, what am I talking about? Kiss lots of strange men. I will try to enjoy AGs play. He has me far right tickets, front row, and I have cue-cards printed just in case he forgets his lines and possibly get stuck in that prison for longer than expected. I have had a most excellent day at work. For the first time in my working career some important people noticed that I actually do my job better than anyone else I know (it's quite a specific job). But, true to form, they didn't actually recognise ME, they approached my new boss (who has little idea what I do) to ask him to share his secret for success and help them extend the same framework across the division. He accepted willingly, but asked me to help as his 'side-kick'. Perhaps I have matured, but this was fine by me, as he is the one that decides my pay-rise and bonus - if I keep him happy and make him look good I should be quids in??? Or am I being naive?! Gypsee - I swear you will write a film-script one day. If you don't, I might screen-play the story of your life after you are gone. Would that be OK with you? IP: Logged | |
