Hi Everybody,

I'm home safely from Cuba. I'm very jet-lagged at the moment...

Hey Scorpio - and did you have a fantastic time? Did you kiss lots of strange men?

We have lost AG I'm afraid, he is locked in a prison but we are hoping for an early release.

I really should learn that my sense of humour may be lost on people - ok....

1) I never went to see AGs play
2) AG is not locked in a prison

Cuba was very interesting. Rum cocktails, cuba libra, mojito's and pina colada's.
Hundreds of palm trees. Boiling hot 32 degrees every day. Music everywhere, in every restaurant there was a band who played.
The shadow side was the communistic systeem and the poor people. I learnt a lot about the country.
About Cuban men. They don't know what the word monogamy means. They find it normal to heave a girlfrind
besides their wife. Their girlfriends are little girls who they call their nieces! It's just all one big familiy.
We had good laugh about it. Our Cuban gide arranged a girl for one of our dutch groupmembers.
The girl was so young, her length was just where his belly button was. One highlight of the trip was the city Trinidad.
We went to Disco Ayala, a club set within a hillside cave. 40 steps down into a cave.
The sound system blasts musical concoctions of hip-hop, rap, reggaetone and salsa-disco.
Now I miss the music so much..........

Wow! You don't hear the word "cad" used very often...and yet that word is actually in my play as well. The villain is called a "cad" by Bertha Birthright. So when is our wedding?

Caroline, I'm surprised by the young girl. Was she just short, or too young? Bad Dutchman!

No AG, The dutchman wasn't bad. You misunderstood. He didn't do anything with that girl.
He laughed about it, she was too young and little. Bad Cubanman, our guide send the girl for him.
It was in a disco and the dutchman didn't had anyone to dance with.
Our guide was an aqua.

So the play was a success. Did you remember your lines?

The play has gone pretty well. I did forget a line the last time we performed it. I think I spaced out for a second. Fortunately, it wasn't an important line, so nothing was lost. I was trying to pay attention to my acting too much I think.

So, the temperature has occasionally been getting warm here, and the thermostat wars have commenced again.

A couple days ago I found the thermostat set to heat to 78 degrees (25.55 celcius), which is warmer than any office I've ever worked in. It's pretty outrageous. It was already 73.8 (23.22) in the office, which is on the high side of tolerable for me. I turned on the AC right in front of the elderly woman who had set it to 78, and we had a bit of an argument about it. She claimed it was freezing, which 73 degrees is certainly not. It was humid that day, too.

This morning I came in, and the heater was only set to 70 (21.11)(nice). The temperature read on the screen 71.8. This woman was sitting happily at her desk in a t-shirt (a nice one, not an inappropriate one or anything), so I wrote her an email pointing out that she seems just fine while it's two degrees cooler than it was when we last spoke.

Strangely, she brings me a cupcake, slaps my back, and says, "Thanks." A bit confusing. I thought that maybe she was doing that Christian bit where you're nice to your detractors or something, but then I checked my email. Now I'm really confused, and I probably shouldn't have eaten the cupcake. Here's her email back to me:

hot. But rThanks ,for your concern. Lets just keep it that way. Just put it on AC not unless it is really ight it's perfect.

    Thanks

I dunno AG - won't we have to consult a master astrologer for that? Also, I am still waiting on your grandmothers diamond ring. You can tell you don't watch many romcoms. I had put your lack of enthusiasm down to all that hard graft that's been going on at work, and then I find out that you have been taking British girls out for dinner?? Tsk.

Your colleague sounds bonkers. I can't think of anything clever to say about it, she's just bonkers. Maybe she is a bit blind and thought she had set it to 68 yesterday?

Interesting theory. I was going to say that she wears glasses, but when I think about it I'm not so sure...in fact, I don't think she does, at least not often.

Not to worry, I didn't really take lovely Brits to dinner. It would really be something else if someone were to impersonate you from my play's audience. That would be an intriguing story.

I wonder if any rings were handed down in my family. Not any to my knowledge.

You know, I really love romantic comedies actually. One of my all time favorite movies is Sliding Doors. I thought it was brilliant. I'm not really all that romantic myself, though. I think I can be, but even in my last relationship my focus wasn't on being romantic. She was a low maintenance (Capricorn rising) Sag, though, so that might explain a bit. I'm quite loyal, and like to show how much I care by doing the litte things.

Nah. If I think I have to explain myself, I usually do. Put it to my earthy practical side.

I agree, it's the little things that matter the most. I don't like all that staged romance stuff - doesn't hit the spot with me.

My ex boyfriend was a leo. One day we went to a garden centre. While walking trough it
he wanted to hold hands. Buth I didn't want that. I just wanted to run around the
garden centre freely. We had an agrument about it. I guess didn't find that a romantic thing.
Still don't. Maybe I'm not the holding hands type!

I'll happily hold hands if my partner wants, but I don't need it. My Sag and I never really held hands.

(Sorry if these responses are short. I'm being a little lazy at work, so I have to monitor myself to ensure I finish everything on time.)
