I think I can still do it. Haven't tried in awhile. Definitely love art, and wish I had more time to pursue it.I'm going to this event this Sunday: http://sftheaterfestival.org/visit-the-festival/festival-program-2010/ Looks pretty cool. The group (at least I think it's the group) that did Point Break Live will be doing their The Big Lebowski as part of this event. IP: Logged |

Time to buy a house! Or a car! C'mon now, don't be un-American. Having said that: Congrats on your freedom! I used to know what that felt like. IP: Logged |

Thanks! It's pretty awesome. I love being special in some way, and this is kind of a cool way to be unique. Most Americans are concerned with providing themselves with access to more debt (and I know that has it's uses), but I get to be debt free at middle age. Pretty cool!I am planning on getting a car next year. I hope and pray I don't use it much, though. Now to win the group lottery I just started at work. Drawing's tonight. I should find a lawyer to set up the Trust for when we win. IP: Logged |

Here's a cheap gift for you Caroline, a Caroline song that wasn't made famous by Neil Diamond. Acid House Kings - This Heart Is A Stone Lyrics: They say your middle name is trouble But I know it's Caroline They say you remind them of problems But I think you look like Audrey Caroline, I know That you put on a show Everytime you two disagree This heart is a stone No one will ever break it This heart is a stone Close to you it breaks easily 'Cause everything that they say Tells me to go away But everything that I feel Tells me to stay They say they can smell the drama But I know it's "No. 5" They say you only bring heartache But I know you brought a bottle of wine Caroline, I know That you put on a show Everytime you two disagree This heart is a stone No one will ever break it This heart is a stone Close to you it breaks easily 'Cause everything that they say Tells me to go away But everything that I feel Tells me to stay They say you're like a Monday morning I say you're like a Friday night I don't get their points Anytime is a good time for being with you This heart is a stone No one will ever break it This heart is a stone Close to you it breaks easily 'Cause everything that they say Tells me to go away But everything that I feel Tells me to stay

I can see how mellow worked better here - I gently mentioned some of the things that have irked when the conversation naturally took that turn. It turns out there was a bit of miscommunication/misunderstanding - if I had charged in an expressed my emotion we might never have got to an understanding so quickly (though I have to say I still don't trust him).I just always feel a bit let like I am selling out when I hold my tongue - I am getting better at it though, and can see the benefits of chosing my battles carefully. You never finished your story... IP: Logged |

In my experience, Aries will generally be pretty tolerant of an opposing view if the circumstance is one in which they are expected to make nice. Even if they explode, they get over it pretty quick.I had an Aries boss once, and generally I'd debate him, if anything. I do remember one time putting my foot down, though, and I was right, and he backed down immediately. It was a conversation about an "excuse" versus a "reason." He was a bit too quick to call something an excuse, when there was a rational reason (for which no human action could help) behind it. Aries jumps the gun quite a lot, and I think they recognize this, so you just have to show that your position is more sensible. Also, I think it helps not to make it too personal. IP: Logged |

AG, thanks for the song. I've never heard of it before.Watching the video makes me want to play table tennis. It's amazing what an adjective can do in a sentence. Put the word cheap to something and it degrades something. Of course the succesfulness of a present doesn't always depends on it expensiveness. That certainly counts for me. I should buy you a nice leather wallet, so you can put all that money and those creditcards in it. Buth wait, I read somewhere you appreciate the little things,so I'm gonna send you a little birthday present. This site takes time from me, because when a topic is dropped I'm gonna think and philosophize about it. For example money and gifts, woman going with man for the money etc. And with my libra asc. I'm also looking at it from both sides. So there's more in my mind than I type here. IP: Logged |

Didn't mean to degrade it. Was just contrasting it to the expensive gift you talked about.IP: Logged |

Sunday I went with two guys from my improv group to the San Francisco Theater Festival. It takes place from 11am - 6pm. There were a ton of venues all within a pretty small walking distance, and pretty much all the venues had a series of shows throughout the day. We visited at least six venues. I let Scott and Rob determine our itinerary. Scott knew a couple people performing in shows, so we watched those ones (two of the worst shows we saw there). All the shows were no longer than half an hour. Scott and I were both audience volunteers for separate improv groups. He got to be a very cute woman's hands (yes, I'm jealous), and I was in a skit where the improvisors do a scene but leave out certain words that their audience volunteers fill in. I was a pretty fun day. IP: Logged |

I had a family weekend. I went to see my mom and brother. On sunday I invited my niece and her boyfriend over. They came to watch my holiday pictures.I'm very fond of my niece (leo/cancer). She's a great story teller. She's a funny actor. A few years ago when my relationship with my ex boyfriend (leo) was over, they kind of took care of me.How many bothers and sisters do you have AG? And how old are they and of course which starsign? I'm practically an only child,so i imagine it is fun to grow up with brothers and sisters. When I was little I used to watch all the family television series, like Full house, family ties etc.

I have three sisters and one brother:Kristi Age 40 Aries Me Age 37 Capricorn Bethany Age 30 Aries Jenny Age 28 Aquarius Danny Age 26 (later this month) Leo _______________ This is an interesting article: http://finance.yahoo.com/family-home/article/110275/but-will-it-make-you-happy I particularly like the things it says about happiness. Leisure spending contributes to happiness more than accumulating stuff. IP: Logged |

I hate doing three or more borrower loans! They're typically on the small side, so less worthy of the extra amount of time I have to spend on them. on the article, though. Definitely. I do like buying stuff (truth be told), but even in buying stuff, it's typically for leisure use. IP: Logged |

Just laughed very loudly al by myself about this british comedy show called Miranda. I found it very funny how she acted out some situations. She's a stand-up comedienne.I liked the article. To be honest I like buying stuff to. I agree leisure spending contributes to happiness more than accumulating stuff. In the article they talk here about accumulating stuff. Buying one good thing you need can make you happy tough. Buth I guess it's also a womens thing. We can't have enough clothes, can we? I've got a closet full and I still want to go to the mall, because i've got absolutely nothing to wear. Well what you also see is young couples building their material imperium. The big house, nice car etc. Finally they sit on their new couch and discover they've got nothing to say to each other. And to fill in the silence they gonna start a new plan, redecorate the house... I also find the connection they make in the article with the crisis interesting. Do people think twice these days how they spend their money? So you've got a lot of brothers and sisters. Your the only earth sign in your family. Do you want to talk about it? You've made the list in order of age. That's a nice service for the reader, very clear. IP: Logged |

I have just bought something. Some very expensive (but bargain) transatlantic flights - yippppppeeeeee. Just need to organise everything else now! Caroline - sorry - just realised I missed a question you asked me. In short my user name comes from a combination of my liking of Snow Patrol and the name of a company I incorporated a while ago....they collided in a serendipitous moment which gave rise to the name. And then AG muscled in with his Elbow. IP: Logged |

I'm going to a board game get together (meeting) tonight for the first time. These people organize through meetup.com, and every second and fourth Tuesday of the month they get together at a restaurant to play family-type games. Hopefully it'll be fun. quote: I liked the article. To be honest I like buying stuff to. I agree leisure spending contributes to happiness more than accumulating stuff. I'm stuck on the idea of leisure being tied to happiness. It's experience that brings fulfillment. I think that's what it's trying to say. It's not about what you have, but what you do. I get a certain pleasure out of shopping, and I also get a certain displeasure when I'm unable to buy stuff. I understand you there. When you're buying clothes, you're kind of in a process of creating your look, so maybe it's fulfilling in that sense. quote: You've made the list in order of age. The board game meet-up was fun. Both friends that I invited (fellow Cap/Gem, and The Dutchman [Dr. Rob]) also showed. Because we were all new to the group we ended up spending the entire time at one table, so we didn't get to meet or interact with a lot of the people in the group. In total we only played with three members from the existing group.I played two games of backgammon with a guy I met there. He should have won the first one, but I did. He won the second one, but it was close. Then Rob showed up, and the three of us played Sequence, which seemed to be an old game. I can't remember who won the first game, but I won the second in one fell swoop. I didn't even realize it when it happened. The goal is to get two sequences of five in a row. I set up a 'T' with my chips, and when I completed the 'T' where the two lines met I was anticipating only completing the vertical sequence. I didn't realize that I was set up to use a free space with my horizontal line thereby completing two lines/sequences in one go. Being clever is so much better when you're conscious of it. Then my other friend joined us, and we played Apples to Apples. It's less fun with just four people, but it was alright. I won that, but there's not a lot you can do to affect a win in that game. There's no strategy you can employ to win at it. Our last game was Scattergories. That's a fun game. We played three rounds of it, and then the one guy I had started playing backgammon with wanted to call it a night. It was 9:45, so we all decided to call it a night. Good stuff. IP: Logged |
