That is a beautiful picture, and even more brilliant on my monitor at home.

I went to a lab this morning to have blood drawn for health test. Then I ate a quick breakfast, and worked five and a half hours straight. Then I went to a consultation for a sleep study. I bet the sleep doctor was a Sag. She was of Eastern European or Russian descent. I didn't see a wedding ring on her finger. I almost felt like I should ask her out or something. She was nice. A bit on the meek side.

Now I've been home for a little bit. I've got a little extra time to play with my new toys: animation software, and a drum machine software.

I wonder if having trouble with sleeping is a Gemini thing. Gemini Marilyn Monroe had
trouble sleeping. Is it that mercury restlesness that keeps them awake?

Mercury and/or Uranus

It's restless mental energy.

I have about half-a-dozen aspects,
placements, and sign/house pairings
in my chart suggesting the same thing.

Insomnia SUCKS.

I've got Mercury and Uranus in sextile.

I don't know everything about what's affecting my sleep yet. There are plenty of factors that could come into play. I kill two birds with one stone taking allergy medicine at night. It helps with both allergies as well as getting to sleep. I was pleasantly surprised to find the doctor endorsed this practice.

Hi Valus,

Nice to meet a fellow scorpio.
My mercury is conjunt uranus, both in scorpio. I'm happy i don't have trouble sleeping. It would be exhausting.
I guess being a water sign, absorbing all those impressions/feelings during daytime
and with my libra asc, going out of balance from time to time, I'm pretty tired at the end of a day. I really can see the difference in my face. After a nice quiet day alone my face looks more relaxed. I really have that balance thing from libra. Some people can go on and on. I need a pause, work/rest,sweet/spicey,talking/silence etc.

AG/Valus,hope you stay away from drugs, sleeping pills etc.

Well, we just finished with our morning process, the process we used to have done by lunch time. It's 3:15 in the afternoon. Our lunch was provided, so we could stay near or at our desks. Crazy.

Is that because more people are taking out loans? Or because they are more complicated?

It seems like nothing has changed to me. There was all this talk of increased regulation and more stringent credit controls, yet nothing happened. Yes, lenders are being more careful, especially in areas where they have been burnt, but this this has come from within and not from any governing bodies. I guess nobody wants to tinker with the system and derail the very slow process of recovery.

I think this will be my new measure of the state if the US (and therefore world) economy - is AG busy this week?!

The volume of loans isn't extraordinary. Business has picked up, and our department doesn't reflect that in terms of manpower. We were down a person yesterday, and we will be again today (and tomorrow). It's her birthday.

Our process is also slowed by substandard computers, printer, and third-party vendor services. That third-party internet app was extremely slow to the point of not working at all yesterday. I couldn't help reminisce about a previous job where only the printer had been an issue.

I have taken a days holiday.

The sun is shining.

I have been to the beach.

I have had a picnic and been rock-pooling.

I am happy and the day is not yet done!

I don't know what it is.

Caroline, I cook for myself sometimes. I keep things fairly simple. My favorite thing to cook for myself is tacos.

Here's a sweet story.
Last week I was in the supermarket. When a little girl suddenly shouted at me, "I'm
eating pancakes for dinner and you aren't". Me, somewhat surprised said: that's a pity for me and good for you. What are you putting on them, jam, sucre? The little girl didn't kwow what to say. Than I had to walk with her, she brought me to her mom. There she took a can out of the basket. This! It was a can with maize/corn. Than I understood, she was going to eat Tacos!

It's sausages baked in a kind of batter. The same batter as they use for Yorkshire Pudding - which as Evanski hints at, isn't a pudding, it's a 'puff' that is served with a roast dinner....traditionally served as a Sunday Roast, with beef, roast potatoes, gravy and veg.

There were just a family of turkeys outside my window, but my camera is in the car. I told my roommate to send me the pictures she took.

AG - you can't use someone else's hand to fill the void in yours - that is clearly cheating!!!

I now have visions of you stalking the poor turkeys in the garden, hiding behind bushes with your camera.

Did you know that my home computer's password is "turkey"? How random is that? And it's not even because there are turkeys around.
