It doesn't look as if any musical collaboration will be forthcoming. We did have a good group session of singing songs last night.Right now we're heading to the Boston area. We'll spend thbe night there, so getting to the airport in the morning will be easy. It's been a nice vacation. Got a lot of good rest in, and let my carpel tunnel ease away for a bit. IP: Logged |

Going back to California today. I'm currently sitting in the front row of my airplane. It's not First Class. This airline let's you pick your seat on a first come first serve basis. I just ensured I was one of the first 30 to board. From Boston I fly to Chicago. I have a long wait there, and then I go on to Oakland.I did manage to forget my camera in Yin's back seat. Oops. I just had my first working day of the week. I had this somewhat boring day. I caugth myself thinking about sex serveral times today. I once saw a little sex movie, that was about a man thinking about sex while working at the office. He frequently pushed the escape button on his keyboard.

I've been thinking about sex over the last couple days quite a bit. Not this morning so far.I learned of a new redundancy that I'm required to do today. I'm going to try to get to the bottom of why they require this impractical process. IP: Logged |

AG is a very sweet man.------------------ “We must live for the few who know and appreciate us, who judge and absolve us, and for whom we have the same affection and indulgence. The rest I look upon as a mere crowd, lively or sad, loyal or corrupt, from whom there is nothing to be expected but fleeting emotions, either pleasant or unpleasant, which leave no trace behind them.” ~ Sarah Bernhardt IP: Logged |

It's on right now! That song I tried whistling for you, V. It's called Maple Leaves by Jens Lekman. You can see why I didn't remember the name or the artist. I don't know why that string melody gets stuck in my head, but I like it.Thanks for the kind words. It was fun. Maybe if I'm ambitious I'll record the music for that song for you guys, and you two can sing to it whenever you like. You guys were great, too. We're all very mutually accomodating. My roommate asked if I missed her cat. I said, "No. I miss Peanut." She's way more fun than our dreary, sickly (but otherwise beautiful) cat. Oh, and that Sarah Bernhardt quote is great. IP: Logged |

My Facebook has been acting strangely lately. I've had to change my password twice in the last couple days. I'm guessing that it has something to do with accessing my account from the East coast. Now it won't work from my phone. It's telling me I have to log in from a regular computer. I bet it'll put me through the security wringer again. I wonder if logging in from the library will continue to baffle it. I've got improv tonight, so I won't be going home.IP: Logged |

Improv was good. I'd soured on it a bit after the summer drama, but tonight we were back, and things felt normal. I'm almost relieved. We might do a video for the start of our show. I think I might write it. I'll have to see how well my imagination comes together for a unified vision. IP: Logged |

I had an interesting thing happen this morning. My coworker came in, and I think she asked something to the effect of Am I trying to get her in trouble by not doing the filing she left for me last night. I had simply forgotten about it, so I asked if they were still there (because they should have been locked up). They weren't still there. I told her I'd just forgotten. She asked once again, "Did you forget, or were you just trying to get me in trouble?" I told her I wouldn't do that.It was interesting to me, because she could have solved her own paranoid dilemma. If she had felt that she always acted equitably, then she would have no reason to suspect that I was trying to get back at her or something. There's probably a bigger lesson here about the self-sabotage that happens when you know you're not treating people right. IP: Logged |

Yes, such things are going on in the office. At my office there are also those situations among collegues. In the past I made some mistakes myself by saying the wrong things and I learnt and I'm still learning. The insurance that we sell is for employers. A dutch act says that an employer has to pay salary to an employe when he stays sick at home. When the employe is ill, the employer has to pay him 70% of his salary. And that for two years. So we insure the employer for this material damage. I'm curious, what the act says in California? Btw: sorry for my bad english. IP: Logged |

I'm honestly not sure how the law works here when someone gets really ill. Most employers allow some paid sick days. If the problem is bigger and takes longer to get over, I think the state might grant some disability pay (once the condition is verified through a doctor). The medical expense is mostly met through insurance.EDIT: I checked with my roommate, and she confirmed what I said above. Our state pays "disability" to people with longer term medical problems. Thanx for your answer AG, If find it interesting to see how the law works in society. Our law privatize state concern. So now emloyers have to take care of paying the sick employees for two years. And it gives employment for insurance companies. They can create a new insurance product for the cap the law leaves. And in some employment contracts they can go father than the law by saying they will pay 100% salary.Tormorrow it's my brothers birthday. Have a nice weekend! Here's a interesting astrolink for everybody. http://www.librarising.com/ I found out my fave cartoon figure Garfield, is a gemini venus leo. IP: Logged |

Looks graphical. At my art course I learnt about art and exspressing. If you make or someone else has made a painting/piece of art he/she wants to say/express something. If you draw a smiling person, the message is happiness. Than you learn that you can say this also with using the right colours (yellow/orange) and not drawing just a smiling person. With modern art it's more difficult to analyse what the artist wants to says with his art. It's an interesting question, how are you gonna express your theme? Are there any good museums in your town? I don't think there are any good museums in my town. I know of two possible museums. One is brand new, and I think it's devoted to art, so I should go check it out.I hadn't really thought about what I'm trying to express. It seems strange that I'd not have contemplated that. I've played around with color at http://kuler.adobe.com/ . The color scheme for the above work came from a creation there. Then I just organized them in blocks. I do like the pallette. I really like the last version of this piece. I put it as my desktop background on my work computer. It looks like it would make a cool pattern for cloth. I kind of like everything going on with it. There's a symetry, there's movement, there's an artificial sense of depth. It seems a little sterile, and yet the red doesn't allow it to be. It's interesting that it just comes out of playing, and it just evolved. I start playing, because I have paint and canvases, and I thought it would be good to maybe plan something out before trying it. It may look better in the computer version, though. IP: Logged |
