Yeah, the show was great, and ten of us went. Quite impressive; they improvised a whole play with the general theme "Family Drama."We went to the Cheesecake Factory afterward. That was fun. I was a bit taken off-guard by people lauding my astrological knowledge at the table there. The Aquarian was apparently quite impressed when we discussed astrology previously. I learned that my Cancerian Dutch friend's fifteen year old Scorpio daughter is an out lesbian. She was out with us. Her and I have a bit of a connection, because she is fascinated by guitars and astrology as well. Her dad just got her a late birthday present of a new guitar. IP: Logged |

I'm uploading a tweak on my flamingo picture to photobucket right now. I did consider NickiG's suggestion of a flying flamingo, but I'm not sure I'll have time. I've got a week to get it to canvasondemand.com for processing by Christmas. I changed the file size to the dimensions it will be on canvas (16" x 20"), so it's taking forever to upload.IP: Logged |

Hey Evanski! Yes, I just read back - exciting....so I am to be married, and so are AG and Scorp??! We need Gyspee in here for a bit of interpretation.Funny you posted that right after I had a psychic over (for a bit of fun) for my birthday. She told me to pay attention to my dreams. So far, taking this advice has managed to save me from missing my daughters show at school (I had the time down wrong) and saved me from sending her to school without her swimming kit.....who knew dreams could have such a practical use? AG - you sound like you had a fun night. Most people I know go to a bar after a show, not for cheesecake.....is that normal in your parts? It's snowing here I am very glad I ordered some Emu boots on a whim, they arrived a couple of days ago. I looked up the origin of the 'Ugg' style boots and was interested to learn that it is short for 'Ugly boots'. They were designed by Australian's as a means of warming up the feet of winter surfers. I am pleased that I now know more than I did yesterday! IP: Logged |

This was our second time going to the Cheesecake Factory after a show. I did have one drink there: a ridiculously priced cucumber martini. Is it normal? That's a good question. I think a bar would have been equally normal, though most of our group are suburbanite parents. In fact, one couple even skipped the Cheesecake Factory. My Dutch friend, Rob, once went to an improv show in the city after which the cast invited everyone out to say goodbye to a departing member who was moving out of state. They went to some karaoke bar. Rob loved it, and now every time after a show he goes and asks the cast where they'd recommend going out to; I think in hopes that they'll say they're headed somewhere that we can join them. Hasn't really worked out that way, though. The two cast members he chose this time were a little stumped as to where to go. Perhaps they also only go into the city for improv. I don't know how this came into being that night, but in between the city and cheesecake, we managed to devise a new way of giving directions. Every right turn was deemed, "gay," and every left turn deemed, "lesbian," so it turned into, "Turn lesbian at Gogh," or, "Hard gay at Van Ness." It was pretty funny. Fun to drive with the water suns. IP: Logged |

Latest version. Down to last week available for tweaks. Will I be more ambitious with it, and add more? I'm not sure. I have to get busy on designing some fabric for my Aquarian sister. IP: Logged |

In my experience parenthood would push one more towards the bar than the cheesecake!I like the sound of Rob - he sounds like he tries to make his own fun. The flamingo is cool - very 70's. How do you go about making fabric for someone, never heard of that before? IP: Logged |

You design it digitally. It's just like drawing a picture only you have to keep in mind it's going to be on fabric, and question yourself on whether someone would use it. The service I'll probably use is called http://www.fabricondemand.com .I'm kind of stuck. I thought it would be easy at first, and it is somewhat easy to create a pattern, but I second guess whether it's a good pattern. One of my accidents today recalled a swastika. It didn't actually have a swastika, but because it was based on rectangles I'd rotated each time it gave the general impression of a swastika. Not cool. This was my last one. Cool visual effect, but I'm not sure this would be a quilter's cup of tea. I like this one I did earlier, prior to knowing my sister's color palette: IP: Logged |

I like the second one for a quilt. I admire quilters, that is one hard hobby. I fought with it for a couple years and decided I am just not disciplined enough to stick to the rules of math. I love the Cheesecake factory. YUM. IP: Logged |

Loving the flow chart. It's cute that the out of towners think the Cheesecake Factory only has cheesecake. Hehe. They have some really tasty fresh cocktails there. I used to work in a "bar fresh" place as well. All fresh squeezed and muddled and whatnot. I loved making those and most customers requested that I make them when they came to the restaurant.
